photography in the 1000 range

Hey all-
I know this has already been discussed on here... but prices seem to be changing quickly on photography.
I have a relatively small budget and am hoping to have a photographer around $1000.
I have an appt with Alex from Imagen Photography next week. I really like that he charges the same price, regardless of how many hours he is there. And his photography looks good.
Anyone know of any other photographers in my price range? Or anyone that has had Imagen and can tell me how they did?

    We met with Lizzy from Imagen.  Make sure the person you choose (whoever and wherever it is) matches your personality and is someone you can see having around ALL day on your big day.  We loved Lizzy, but she also told us what kinds of brides seem to click really well with both Alex and the other head photographer.  After hearing about all three of them, we had to decide who would fit best with us and who we wanted to have around all day.  We ended up with Lizzy and are so excited for her to shoot our wedding in 3 weeks!

    We just booked Imagen two weeks ago!!! You will really like them, Alex is super fun and nice, and really professional. I loved his work, and can't wait to work with him. Best of luck!!

    make sure if you go with Imagen that you are clear about which photographer you want.  We ended up with one of the head photographers that we don't know very well because I didn't specify.  I'm a little nervous about it but I'm sure it'll be ok...

    When we met with Alex he told us that we could either specify which photographer we wanted, or he would pair us with who he thought best fit our personality. I am sure that is the approach they took for you, so I would think you will still be happy with the outcome.

    We too booked with Imagen.  I've only met with Lizzy so far and loved her.  
    We ultimately chose Imagen because they not only fit our budget, but the quality and style was within the range we were looking for AND they offer unlimited hours which really no one else in that price range had. 

    We have our epics with them in about a month and I'm hoping to meet some of the other photogs to see who clicks with us the best so we can decide who we want for our wedding.  So Excited!

    We are also going with Imagen. I personally know one of the photographers, so that was an easy sell for me.  We are hoping for Alex to do our photography. We will see!
