e-pics, anyone regret not doing them??

I feel like I will regret not doing epics...

My package includes a credit that I can use for a number of services (including epics).... but I would like to use the credit toward some other service..

Soo did you regret not taking engagement pics? or if you took them, did you think you could have forgone taking them?

decisions.. decisions....

I didn't do them and did not regret it at all. Honestly I think epics look a little cheesy. I would definitely use the credit for something else.

I don't regret not doing them at all.  I really hate having my picture taken.  We have so many pictures together and really don't need anymore.

I'm glad I did them, as we used them for our entrance in the venue and for our sign in.

We weren't going to do them because I also think they're cheesy, but they came free with our package so we're doing them and using the pics for a guestbook.  If we didn't have anything to do with them, I wouldn't take them just to take them.

We only did them because they were specifically included.
Since we got to include the puppylove I don't regret it.... but its not something we were dead set on doing. We don't like posed pics either, but our photographer did a great job making us comfortable & taking a lot of great candids. If you can apply credit elsewhere though ~ do that!

Ours were included in our package. I liked having them done because it really set our mind at ease that we'd chosen an awesome photographer ... our thinking was that, if the e-pics came out sucky or if we didn't like the way the photographer worked with us, we'd have time to bail out and find a new photographer (instead of dealing with horrid wedding photos).

Luckily that didn't happen ... we loved the e-pics.

Don't regret it. I think they're kind of cheesy like someone else said. Ours came in the package. We took them & got 10 free prints. We didn't buy up anymore because it wasn't worth it to us, rather use our wedding photos in frames.

our e-pics were also included in our package, probably wouldn't have had them done otherwise.
i actually really enjoyed it and we love our pics, like mbc said it's a good way to see how your photographer works and a great glimpse into what the wedding photos will look like!

We didn't do them, and I have never thought for a minute that we should have.

We had no use for them -- didn't want photo STDs and didn't want a newspaper announcement.  I agree with some of the others that they are sort of cheesy.   I'm not of the "I'm getting married so I need engagement photos and boudoir photos and wedding photos and trash the dress photos" camp.  We didn't need confirmation that we chose an good photographer -- we knew we have booked an amazing one.  And we have so many gorgeous photos of us from the wedding that we don't know what to do with them, so I don't think we really need photos of us from other dates near that time too.

We did them; they were included with our package.

Looking back, I may opt to do them again (if I were deciding) because MH is very uncomfortable in front of cameras (even if the photographer is unobtrusive, just knowing he's being photographed bothers him :-/).

During the e-pics MH became more comfortable with the photographer & also with the idea of posed (& non-posed) shots.

Maybe MH is extreme; if you or your FI don't have camera anxiety LOL, I suppose you could skip them!

we just took ours yesterday, it was the perfect day for them, and im so happy we did them!!! we dont need to "use them" for anything WR, we'll enjoy them for ourselves and our parents will as well.  our photog is the farthest thing from cheesey. also, it was just a nice thing for FI and I to do together, it was really fun  posing and walking around NYC getting our picture taken.
i cant wait to get them back. i think its a personal thing, and if its included in your package, i say go for it!!!

We did them and don't regret it.  We used it as an opportunity to become better acquainted with our photog and that way we will feel more comfortable on our wedding day.

We decided not to do them. My FI and I are both some what comfortable with having pictures taken. We weren't going to use them in the STD and are going to frame our wedding pictures anyway. So for us it was something we didn't need and didn't wnt to waste money and energy on.

Jaytee- I completely agree with you.  They are included in our package but I want them so FI feels more comfortable with the photographer and the posed/non-posed shots.

Personally, I like the idea... I think you get to know the photographer a little bit more!

I don't think Epix are cheesy, at least not if they're done well.  That said, and I certainly mean no disrespect to anyone who has done them, but the feel self-indulgent to me.  I'm a decent hobbyist photographer and I've already taken some nice pictures of the two of us using a tripod and timed shutter release.  I guess if you have no really nice pictures of the two of you and no way to get them otherwise, I suppose it's a good idea, but it wasn't right for us.  For our photographer, it was an option that we'd have to pay for (though surprisingly inexpensive) so we're not doing it.

I think they are a good idea to get to know your photographer and practice working together before the day of.

We used them for STD's and just to have nice updated pictures of the both of us together.  We didn't do any of the cheesy poses you tend to see often.  We also used the pictures for our website, many of our relatives have not seen us in many yrs, so they came in handy
