Wedding venues!!

Hi
  I am new to the knot and newly engaged!! I am looking for a place to get married on Cape during the winter....feb. I am trying to find a place where I can have the ceremony and reception at...and is no more then $40 per person. Any suggestions???!!!

    carls - you might have to get creative.  A few places to check:
    -local caterers, to see if they have anything in that price point
    -restaurant with enough space to clear out for a dance floor
    -something like a VFW hall

    Just remember to account for additional costs that may come with sites like barns/farm - you'll probably want some heat lamps in the winter, and there will probably be the cost of renting extra restroom facilities.

    If you are willing to go off the cape - the Pinehills in Plymouth has great deals in the winter months with a lot of choices around $40pp

    Check out Harbor Point in Cummiquid! they have good prices! we had our wedding there and loved it!

    Any suggestions of affordable good not obnoxious DJ....also bakery for cake and photographer that provides 2 people and not crazy expensive but good....getting married at Coonamesset Inn. Will take any help and suggestions please! Jan 2014 is my wedding.

I went with Cottage Street Bakery for my cake and everyone loved it. They don't do fondant cakes, though. </div><div>I would stay away from Portrait New England. I had/have nothing but issues with them and the proofs I saw were mediocre at best. More than 4 months out, I still don't have my photo CD. Look into Shoreshotz or Berry Photos, they're both highly rated by the ladies on the board.</div>

    I offer photography packages at a fraction of the cost you will find out there now. I am just starting out, but promise you, the pictures are just as good if not better than "thiers" Contact me if interested

    DJ- Scott with Capetunes HIGHLY recommend!!! He was one of my favorite vendors. Honestly. Very reasonably priced and listened to every request I had. He kept the party going without being obnoxious! 

    Cake- we used Casual Gourmet. Cake was delicious! Some of the decorative frosting bled into the white frosting though... I think that was due to the heat. But tasted delicious and looked great otherwise!

    Photographer- we used Amber Shomo with forevercandid photography. She's based out of Salem, but will travel to the cape. She was my other favorite vendor. Her work is absolutely STUNNING. She brings another photographer with her.So easy to work with! Not sure what her pricing is nowadays but definitely worth looking into!

    Check out the DoubleTree in Hyannis (what used to be the former Radisson). They just recently renovated it and it's gorgeous!!! It's where we're having our reception and it's under $40/person.  Good luck!

    Pembroke Country Club! Its 30 minutes South of Boston but has everything your looking for and is very affordable!
    I recommend it!
