I think some people pull them off and they look cute. I just never understood spending the $ on them.

Team-as long as you don't wear them with mini skirts or shorts its ok :)

    Favorite Candy Bar: Almond Joys
Favorite TV Show: The Office, but without Michael Scott it might as well be over.
Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Malibu and Sprite. Tastes like skittles
    Coke or Pepsi?:  Coke
    Favorite Sport's Team: Oklahoma Sooners!!
    Favorite Magazine: Cosmo...
Something people would be surprised to know about you: I used to actually show dogs
Favorite Season and why?:  Spring, after the cold winter spring is such a welcome sight
    Your happy place:  FI's arms...
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: This isn't trendy now... but Crocs... Really? I never understood why people wanted to wear those things in public. Truely the ugliest pair of shoes ever.
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous:  Okay... I was playing battle of the sexes yesterday and this question was out there... If you as a guest receive a piece of cake..apparently you are supposed to put that peice of cake under your pillow so you can dream of  your future spouse. W..T...F?
Your perfect day:  Doing nothing with the FI, just relaxing
Bad habit: Not responding to emails...

HaHa FTL- It's all in good fun.  I'll wear them with my skinny jeans. ;)  Ggirl- yes, they are a little pricey, but we won't get into the discussion on how much I've been known to spend on shoes.  My siggy pic wil give you an idea.  :/

Amanda- funny you bring up crocs. Our dress code doesn't allow flip flops because of how casual they are but allows crocs. I will never understand that.

TeamBaby - I wish I could splurge like that on shoes!  I'd love to find out what's so awesome about them - are the heels that comfortable?  I felt guilty spending $200 on my wedding shoes, I think anything more than that would have me in heart failure!

Hike - I was soooo against Crocs, but they're perfect water shoes!  I wouldn't wear them around, though.  I do like them as shoes for kids, though, since they're so versatile and protects their little tootsies better than flipflops.

I have bear paws. I LOVE them. I used to wear them with my school skirt and then with my cheer shorts before I got to cheer practice. I didn't care because I was only wearing them until I changed my shoes. As$ crack shorts and winter boots =no
Military Brides December 2011 Siggy. Holiday picture with your SO. We suck and don't have one :/ Those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

I spend money on a lot of things, but shoes were never my thing. Probably because I'm most comfortable in flip flops.

I will gladly spend a ton of money on really good food. I will also eat at a hole in the wall place for ridiculously cheap. I love eating out and trying different restaurants, everything from diners to the fancy, doesn't matter to me.

I also spend money on coats, I love coats for some reason. I left a bunch home when I moved because I had so many wool coats and I didn't need to bring them all down south with me.

I've been away from TK for ages. Thought this would be a fun way to come back!

Favorite candy bar: Not a big candy bar fan, but if I had to pick one: Pay Day. Would much rather be munching on Hot Tamales

Favorite TV Show: Weeds, Law and Order SVU

Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Alcoholic: Gadino Cellars Sunset Viongner. Non-alcoholic: Dr. Pepper

    Coke or Pepsi?: Coke

Favorite Sport's Team: I'm from Seattle so I root root root for the Mariners and Seahawks. But on Saturday I wear Orange and Blue for the Florida Gators (DH's school)

Favorite Magazine: I enjoy Marie Claire while I'm on the plane.

Something people would be surprised to know about you: I'm super shy. Some people think I'm being standoffish, but I'm not!

Favorite Season and why?: Fall. Nice temperatures for hiking, and the leaves are splendid.

Your happy place: When I'm running. It's my stress reliever, my own mental health therapy session!

Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: Feather hair extensions. Almost all my students have them, I just don't get it!

One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: Bouquet and garter toss. I understand the tradition, but when I was a single girl I felt so awkward standing out there. We didn't do either at our wedding.

Your perfect day: A morning hike, followed by lunch and wine tasting.

    Bad habit: Picking at cuticles.

Louboutins, comfortable?  Oh God no!  LOL  4 hours is about my max in them.  I don't know if I can put into words what's so special about them in a way that would make anyone else feel the same.  It's just the way I feel in them.  I got a pair for all my BMs, and I found mine and just fell in love.  I guess it's like art- all depends on the person and how it makes you feel.  My husband did joke that for what I spent on them I should wear them every day for the rest of my life.  HaHa.   Extravagant- yes, but we're blessed to be in a really great place where we can afford to splurge every once in a while.  And I make my own money, which helps. ;)

I'm about to buy a pair since we're going to Costa Rica in T-Minus 4 weeks, and I know I'll be needing it for some water activities!  Last time we were there, we ended up each throwing away the pair of sneakers we wore for canyoning (repelling down waterfalls) and white water rafting.  Stinky river water and mud!  Crocs would be perfect!

Favorite Candy Bar: Theo's Cherry and Almond
    Favorite TV Show: Castle/NCIS
Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Scotch
Coke or Pepsi?: Coke :) all the way
Favorite Sport's Team: Saints, Mavericks *Edit in* I guess I can shre this here you may get the humor "go navy beat army "(I grew up supporting navy football b/c I had family and friends on the team - Fi is army, i'm only allowed to wear my jersey and sweatshirts when he is deployed)
Favorite Magazine: I don't actually have one because i don't read them
Something people would be surprised to know about you: That I work on 3000lb engines for a living along with aircraft and some maritime vessels - apparently i look cute and harmless and not like rosie the riveter. I also tend to surprise people with my computer techieness when I go into nerd speak
Favorite Season and why?: Summer - when I'm in NOLA i love the rain storms every day and when I was in the northwest I loved how long we had daylight and that we could do so many things in a day.
Your happy place: in the red hills in nor cal. FI and I both love it there so much and whenever i'm stressed that's where I want to go and whenever we/I am there I can just forget about everything else and relax, unwind and really look at things right.
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: Ditto the planking - i heard about this pretty recently what the hubar? I just don't get it.
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: money dance hands down
Your perfect day: A day out riding or offroading with the Fi and the fuzzy dog. All day camping and seeing stars and no lights. :)
Bad habit: I bite my cuticles I can't stop when I'm stressed and I really tear up my hands - I have a million more but that is my worst so we can stick with that.

Favorite Candy Bar: Butterfinger Favorite TV Show: Lost (when it was on) Dexter and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): non-cherry pepsi, alcoholic-bicardi limon and cranberry Coke or Pepsi?: Pepsi Favorite Sport's Team: Don't follow sports a whole lot but I typically root for the Steelers and Penguins. Favorite Magazine: Cosmo Something people would be surprised to know about you: I shoot guns competitively. Favorite Season and why?: Summer. We don't really have a spring or fall. So summer is a nice three month break from ridiculously cold. Your happy place: My bed. Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: I haven't quite caught onto the spandex with oversized shirts fad. One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: Eating your wedding cake on your one year anniversary. Your perfect day: Not to sound cliche but it will be the perfect day when I can wake up next to FI in the morning and fall asleep next to him at night. Bad habit: I tear apart my split-ends when I am bored.

Favorite Candy Bar: Butterfinger.  I am like Bart Simpson with this one…no body better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!
Favorite TV Show: Any Real Housewives (totally addicted to reality TV…hanging my head now), Burn Notice, Bones but I am looking forward to the new fall line up since there seems to be some really good ones coming on.
    Favorite drink (alcoholic or non):
Diet Dew (non alcoholic ), Whip Cream Vodka and ginger ale (taste just like a cream soda) and of course beer
    Coke or Pepsi?:
Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi…I am not really fussy about which one.
    Favorite Sport's Team:
USC Gamecocks, Iowa Hawkeyes, Bamba- ROLL TIDE and Tampa Bay Bucs (I mean they have a pirate ship inside their stadium)

    Favorite Magazine:
Any gossipy, trashy magazine like Us, Star etc.
Something people would be surprised to know about you:
My first job in high school was to play characters either at the zoo or the mall.  I was the Easter Bunny at the mall all four years and played Wee Foot at the zoo for kids education during the summer. Oh and I would be hired to dress up for kids birthday parties.
    Favorite Season and why?:
Summer, I am a beach girl and love the water and sand.  I also like Fall…I mean college football!!!!
    Your happy place:
The beach!  Nothing gives me a clear head as the waves crashing against the coast line.
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy:
The low rise jeans and the need to show under wear!!! I mean they are called UNDER WEAR, they go under clothes.
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous:
Well we didn’t very many of the traditional things at our wedding.  I hate the garter/bouquet toss and the unity candle/sand.   I think the “tosses” are just totally awkward seeing how I was normally the only adult (forced by friends) standing out there with all of the 12 year old girls.  Only to end up with my picture taken with the person that caught the garter…a 12 year old boy!!!! Something out of a cheesy chick flick!  I said I would never do that to any of my guest.  The Unity candle/sand…I just don’t get it.  I mean I have seen the candle blow out at bunch of times at weddings…and there is a gasp.
    Your perfect day:
Spending time on the water with husband and friends on a warm sunny day followed by either taking the boat to one of the restaurants along the water or grill out on a beach.

    Bad habit:
    Reality TV…enough said!!!

Pretty late on this but here goes nothing:
Favorite Candy Bar: Probably Reese's Peanut butter cups
Favorite TV Show: Umm... my favorite?? Probably Teen Mom or Jersey Shore. I'm a sucker for reality TV.
Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Non-Alcholic I really only drink water, so I'm going with margarita's!!
Coke or Pepsi?: Either or really... I used to say Pepsi, but it doesn't bother me since I don't drink soda.
Favorite Sport's Team: I used to be really into football when I was younger and loved the Packers, but I don't really stay tuned in too much anymore
Favorite Magazine: Cosmo, or any riding magazine
Something people would be surprised to know about you: I'm pretty emotional, and as outgoing as I am, I'm still pretty shy.
Favorite Season and why?: I can't choose between fall and spring, I love them both.
Your happy place: on the back of a horse:
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: tie-die.. it's not the 90's and we aren't kids any more.
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: the garter toss sort of - it's eriks choice really and the smashing cake in the person's face.. let me tell you knowing I am paying to have someone put make up to keep my face pretty all day, and someone has the balls to put cake in my face, i will kill you.
Your perfect day: relaxing day at the farm, or on the beach.
Bad Habit: Picking stupid things to fight over, or I'm really bad at thinking I'm 5 minutes away, and I'm more like 15 minutes away. Putting things off too.. I'm semi bad at that.

Oh gosh, my guy just starts asking questions.  Who's that, why'd he say that, where are they going.  And I'll tell him he doesn't really want to know.  And then he'll mock the characters and talk back to them and mimic their voices to say stupid things.  He's hilarious, but really annoying when I want to watch a show!  Most of the time, I just watch my crap shows on my computer in the bedroom with the door shut.  Last Tuesday, I was home sick and he put up with Sex & the City 2 - I give him big kuddos for biting his tongue the whole time and sitting through it all, but man oh man did he unleash some hilarious commentary after!

So happy we are getting more active people now :) yay!

emk- Thanks for the honest comment about your Uggs :P I totally get them during winter!! I have a pair of boots that are my heaven during winter.
I love SVU... total addict. and I love Pinot Noir! We just opened a bottle last night of a 2010 blue fin. It was really good for such an inexpensive bottle!

I'd take the smell  of wet Uggs any day over FI's toe shoes.  Ugh!  Those things stink SO badly!  We have a constant argument about how they belong outside so they don't stink up our WHOLE house!  I know instantly as soon as I walk in the door whether or not they're inside - that's how bad they are.  Yuck.

FirstTimers--I just DD'ed my post under EMK--didn't realize I was logged on under an old screen name that had my last name in there (yikes!)

Pinot Noir on the couch with SVU is my fave winter activity, especially when they have those marathons!

My original post, that I deleted:

    Favorite Candy Bar: Reeses
Favorite TV Show: Law & Order SVU (though FH hates to watch it because he thinks it’s “fake and silly” (he’s a police officer)
Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Pinot Noir or a margarita
    Coke or Pepsi?: Either
Favorite Sport's Team: Los Angeles Dodgers
Favorite Magazine: Cosmo, but I think I’m getting too old for it.
Something people would be surprised to know about you: That I threw the javelin in college and was top in my conference (I was a long distance runner—we’re not typically javelin throwers).
Favorite Season and why?: Fall—not too hot, not too cold, and you can wear all the cute jackets and boots that have been sitting in the closet for 8 months!
Your happy place: At home with a glass of wine, a movie, and FH
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: This whole leggings as pants thing—I get it if you’re wearing a tunic or short dress, but if you’re just wearing a waist-length sweater or t-shirt?  No! Just no! (I think it looks like gym clothes!)
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: Bridal Party dances—I think there is enough time spent on speeches, first dances, etc. that guests don’t need one more thing during which they’re sitting on the sidelines.
Your perfect day: Fall weather, going for a long run then drinking coffee with a breakfast sandwich and the newspaper.  Spending the afternoon walking around the city and then a nice dinner in the evening.
Bad habit: Chewing/picking my nails.  Staying up too late reading TK.

For the record, I have a pair of Uggs--they never really smelled too badly, but I wouldn't say that my feet smell freshly showered when I take them off.  I usually wear socks with them though (I don't wear them often, only in the winter for store, errands, etc).

well, I was a lurker, but doesn't this post technically make me a poster...? Lol

Favorite Candy Bar: Snickers or Reese's (if you consider that a candy bar)
Favorite TV Show: That '70s Show or The Nanny
Favorite drink (alcoholic or non): Dr.Pepper or water
    Coke or Pepsi?: Pepsi
Favorite Sport's Team: my hometown high school, I know that sounds stupid. But I like watching people I know play better than famous people. I get into the game more.
    Favorite Magazine: Cosmopolitan
Something people would be surprised to know about you: I grew up in a town with no stoplights, just stop signs.
Favorite Season and why?: Fall; weather and football!
Your happy place: with my FI
Something trendy that you hate and have NO idea why it is trendy: Crocs. I don't know if anyone else would consider this "trendy", but I do because they weren't popular where I live until a couple years ago and then everyone was wearing them. Ugh, they're so ugly!
One wedding tradition you think is ridiculous: Hmm, I don't know...
Your perfect day: A Friday night back in my hometown with FI at the football game. Then sleeping<3. I love sleep hahah.
    Bad habit: Cursing.

    Welcome StayB :)
I know what you mean about school and watching people play that you know. I dated Mason Foster for a little bit while in college (We both when to school in California, He went to Seaside and I went to Monterey my senior year so we were rivals.. then we found out that we were both going to University of Washington so we hung out) and he was a first round draft pick into the NFL this year. That makes it waaay cooler to watch football. Unfortunately my loyalty to a high school lies to a school that is now closed (in Germany) so no fun hs fb for me.. boo.

    Good call FreeB :P
    Javeline!?!? that is super bamp.
the coolest thing I think I did was in high school I was the captain of my rifle team in school, (took it from my boyfriend at the time.. oopps! :P ) and we went back to the states three years in a row, placed all three times (nationals are at Ft Benning) and broke all the records for air rifle in Europe. :) Boys never liked talking to me, idk why... ;) Did you get a lot of guys afraid of you? tehehehe
