Advice on my how to alter my dress straps

I have a few different options that i can do with my dress straps. I took a few pictures of the back of the dress and various pics. Any advice would be great. (mind you the dress is 8 sizes too big...it is being taken in as we speak!)

I think you need to talk to whomever is doing your alterations, and go from there.  They have may need to do something to make it work, or may say a certain style will work better over this other style.  I would also talk to them to find out what they would recommend as the most comfortable.

If you have already talked to them, though, here is what I think (and don't take this the wrong way, because it's not meant that way at all!):  I think you are overthinking this just a little bit.  I honestly couldn't tell a difference between the crossed straps.  I think you need to go with whatever is comfortable with you; if you feel that you would be pushing and adjusting regular straps all night long (I know I would, because they always fall down on me!), then don't go with that one.  If you feel that the one shoulder one gives the most support, go with that one.  It's whatever you are most comfortable in, because no matter what, you are going to look gorgeous.  Try not to overthink those little details.

hehe, this is a little off subject, but the model wearing your dress looks confused.

I agree, go with whatever might be more comfortable.

off topic... I like how you used similar wording as me telling people about the color of the dress. :)   I hate how they don't have any diamond white pics online. (They must do it because the other color shows the details better)

haha i AM overthinking things...it's b/c my brain is fried from school i can't make decisions for myself....thus comes in THE KNOT GIRLS. hahaha- isn't that what you are all supposed to do; make decisions for me :)

Amer- yea she's confused because she's not getting married and doesnt know why she has to pose in a wedding dress (she's super jealous)

bride2b-  i know! i wish they had diamond white pics!! Yours definitely shows the detail but even my ugly bronze color doesnt show my detail- the only thing is practically beaded. Funny story- my parents could never come dress shopping (b/c of me be in cali and them in PA), so i had to show them a pic of the dress and the ugly colored one was all i had. Needless to say, they weren't very fond of it....they need to see it in person once it is all fitted i think.

Do you plan on wearing your hair up?  If so, I think the cross back makes it look a little more "sexy" than the straps coming straight down.  I think it does change the personality of the dress from behind, so I don't think you are overthinking this at all.  I'd rock the crossed straps!
