  Oh, that stinks!  But don't worry too much.  I'm sure people know that when invited to 2 showers, they only have to bring a gift to one of them!  It is her faux pas, not yours.  Good luck!

  one thing i learned is that they will do what they want and when someone else is throwing the shower you just have to let it ride.  beleive me, it will not reflect on you but on her.  she will be the host.  maybe just ask her intead of a shower you can just do a jack and jill bbq for the family out there to get to know them better??
