XP: Go to the hair salon or have stylist come to us?

Can I hear some outside opinions on these options? Pros, cons, your experiences?

My stylist will only charge $10/person extra for her to come to us, whereever we'd like. I think this is a pretty good deal. I will be having hair and makeup, as will my grandma, FMIL, and most likely 2 out of 4 BMs. I will cover the cost of her travel fees, but then everyone will be responsible for the cost of their style and/or makeup. Obviously I made professional styling optional.

I was thinking this would be nice so that all of us could get ready together, even the ladies not using professional services (my other 2 BMs and my other grandmother). I was also going to provide some snack trays (sandwiches, veggies, fruit, etc) for everyone to munch on, since I'm asking them to get ready at a time they'd usually eat (have to be ready for pictures by 1:45, so we have to start getting ready pretty early, probably around 8, she thinks).

Everyone seems down with this idea, but I just want some outside opinions. The stylist's shop is 20 mins away, which isn't terrible by any means, but I just thought it'd be nice for us to be where we need to be.

I think it would be nice to have the stylist come to you.
That way your photographer could get some pictures of you getting ready.
Also, it's less to worry about on the day of. You can just get to your ceremony location and stay there. No worrying about weather (if it's raining, you aren't going to want to go outside), car trouble, etc.

A con would be if your stylist doesn't have the supplies she needs for the look you or the others wanted.

Over all though, I think it would be best to have her come to you.

I'm trying to decide on this myself except in my case it's $40 more and my salon is actually at my resort, destination wedding! I think for $10 extra you should go for it! It would feel great to get pampered!

We all got ready in my hotel suite and the MUA came and I had lunch brought in. It was so fun and well worth the money IMO. I didn't want to worry about travel, wind, rain, etc. You won't regret it.

We're doing the same thing, I think it's definitely going to be worth it to have everyone in one place and not have to worry about travel, being on time, etc.
