HELP!!! In love with grandmother's dress but need to restore it.

I tried on my Grandmother's vintage 1960's Bianchi dress and fell in love, the only problem is the company who preserved it used blue paper so the dress has a hit of blue to it. I need suggections on places who specialize in restoring or cleaning wedding dresses. I would really love to wear her dress to my wedding. I live in Boston but am willing to travel a little distance for a good place.


Suggestions please!!!

    I would post this on your local board. They should be able to provide some good suggestions.

    I would recommend checking with a local museum, in addition to your local board. They may have some recommendations, because museums have curators and restorers on staff, or can make a recommendation.

    I agree with the museum idea.  I'm a conservator and lots of conservators who 'work' for museums are actually only hired on temporary contracts.  they may be willing to do it for you.  at the very least, they will be able to recommend who to contact.
