Who breaks the AC right before a week of 80 degree highs in the buildings with no opening windows.  It's like a glass oven.

    Yeah that would suck. Buy a portable fan and drink lots of water. Did you call in the service yet?

    As much as I hate the cold, being AC-less in warm weather might be worse.  That sucks.

    They're supposed to have the part in by Thursday.  The Friday thing is a worst case scenario.  I wanted to die today though :(

    This made me laugh, but I feel for you. I'm okay with heat as long as it's manageable. Broken air conditioning...no thanks! Hope it isn't too rough!

    That's rough, sorry Peekaboo! I absolutely hate being too hot. I get so cranky. Hopefully they'll get the part in soon and have it up and running in no time!

    Seriously I love that picture, it's hilarious.

    On a more serious note I would be so cranky if I had to be there with no AC. Our AC went nuts this last summer and stopped cooling the apt. and it got up to 88 degrees. The office then told us that all we needed was a new air filter. Two days later when the AC STILL wasn't working they realized that a part was broken. I was so PISSED.

    Bella, you're absolutely not a horrible person.  It's supposed to be funny.  It is, unfortunately, true as well.

    I think the worst part is that it was 85 in the organic room BEFORE we stuffed 60 people in there.  I'm really hoping that it's better tomorrow...the lab was surprisingly cool this afternoon, but that may have been a product of the hoods.

    Ugh, that's terrible!

    I never really realized how important AC is in some parts of the country before meeting DH.  When we were looking at houses, he was panicked about the lack of AC.  No one here has AC, we just open the windows and use an attic fan or evaporative cooler and it does the trick.  Then we went to visit his family in Houston... I could barely be outside in November there, it was too hot and humid for me!

    Exactly my point. When our AC broke it was in JULY!
