WILL THIS CLASH

I recently remembered something that my mom used to make when I was little and I have to have this for my wedding...Satin Ribbon Rose bouquet...they are just beautiful and a relatively easy DIY project...My problem is with a wedding dress...I was initially thinking of having a taffeta dress with organza...but not sure if this would clash with the satin rose bouquet...Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions...I know its probably weird to plan your dress around flowers but I know I want those types of flowers instead of real or silk...

Re: WILL THIS CLASH

  • I don't think it will clash.  In fact, if everything was the same fabric, I think you'd run the risk of the flowers blending in too much.  Are you going to do white flowers or a contrasting color?  In a color, I think any fabric dress/ribbon combo will look just fine.

BTW, do you have a picture of what you're talking about?  I'm curious...they sound really pretty :-)

  • I don't think the fabrics will clash.  I think the flowers will work regardless of what fabric your dress ends up being.

these are the satin roses I was talking about amd will be making for the wedding and all the double duty arrangements...the colours will be a pastel pink, pastel blue, pastel peach, pastel green and pastel purple... the pastel blue was a colour that was difficult at best to find for real flowers (they were all too blue for me) and I just dont like silk flowers no matter how many times I see them or people talk about them...
