Pre-Marital Counseling

Hi! I'm looking for some recommendations for pre-marital counselors in the TC area. Originally, we weren't going to do it, but have since decided it would be a good idea to. We are about 2 months out so I'm hoping it's still enough time. Neither of us practice any sort of religion, so don't want to go to anyone that is hardcore affliated with a specific religion. We are having a simple civil ceremony that my brother in law will minister since being ordained online. We are also hoping not to spend a huge load of cash for this, but I know it can be expensive. Anyway, any suggestions?

One that hasn't been mentioned here in a while is The First Dance. It's a father-daughter team who does primarily internet-based counseling, I believe. Not sure - it's just been recommended in the past. I was able to find a list of counselors on their site for MN: http://www.thefirstdance.com/premaritalcounselingminnesota.php. HTH!

I'm a marital and family therapist intern, and I'd suggest that you go to www.aamft.org and click on the "therapist locator."

We did the PREPARE/ENRICH program, and liked it. If you google it you can get to the list of all the people that are trained in it - some are affiliated with a church and some aren't. Might be a good starting point!
