How long have you been posting on TK?:
A few months? I have no idea.

Why'd you start posting?:
My friend got engaged. I wanted to be an awesome bridesmaid. Then I found some awesome people to talk to.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?:
NEY - I like the speed it moves at. Fast enough that it's interesting, but I can still keep up with the posts. Plus I just like the attitude on this board.
Least fave is any board I don't bother to lurk on because I find them dull. They're usually the boards that are solely WR.

It's from an Eddie Murphy stand-up routine that BF and I love and quote often.

How long have you been posting on TK?:

I've been posting since June but I lurked for months before.

Why'd you start posting?:

BF's BSC sister (and I say that with love) told me about the board and it seemed like fun.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?:

Favorite: This one, of course. My least favorite is E - everyone seems to have their panties in a bunch there.

I lurk on my local from time to time (which is surprisingly dead - it's NYC! You'd think it'd be more lively). I also lurk on Food and Cake, Music, and Honeymoon.

Tell me about your TK s/n: "Kalindi" means "daughter of the sun" in Hindu (according to a Google search when I was 15 years old). My father often joked that he was the "sun god" when we questioned his authority as a kid, so I picked "Calindi" as my AIM SN when I was 15 - since my name is spelled with a "C" instead of the traditional "K".

How long have you been posting on TK?: Um... 8 months maybe? Not quite a year yet.

Why'd you start posting?: I was trying to figure out some stuff about the logistics of being married to a Marine, so I was lurking the Military Brides board.

Fav. board? NEY and Military Brides... though there's a lot more people who annoy me on MB, I've made some very close friends over there.

Least fav? Why for?: Etiquette. It's boring in general, and I'm a firm believer that etiquette is somewhat nuanced to regions, ethnic groups, and even family units, and that it should be used as a guideline but not a set of absolute rules. I get annoyed when people assume the way they do something is the ONLY way to do it.

Any other message boards you frequent?: LeatherNecks - I check in on it about once a week. It's a board for Marines and Marine families. I use it to keep up to date on USMC news.

Tell me about your TK s/n:

It's been my general handle for online things for a while now. Nothing overly special about it, honestly.

How long have you been posting on TK?:

About a year and a half. I started posting when I was a BM for a friend and just kept going from there.

Why'd you start posting?:

I was a BM in a friend's wedding and had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. And FI (then BF) had let it slip multiple times by that point that he was planning to propose during some point in the year, so I was just looking around/fantasizing/etc.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?:

As much as this board can annoy me at times, I love NEY. I've made some amazing friends via this board.

My least favorite is probably Just Engaged/Proposals - way too much puppies and rainbows there. The fact that the mods will remove any comment they "deem" "negative" annoys the piss out of me, too.

Tell me about your TK s/n:
Well, I didn't have an s/n at first. I wanted to create the wedding website they have to see if it was worth having (because I'm a web designer, but was too lazy then to make my own lol). So TK asked me what I wanted my site URL to be, and I chose "sessionswedding." Only later did I find out that it would use that as my community s/n, and I can't change it!

How long have you been posting on TK?:

Since about February.

Why'd you start posting?:
I had been perusing the site for a while, but after FI officially proposed, I started posting on the boards.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?:
Fav would probably have to be either my November 2011 club board or my Christian weddings ladies. (Sorry NEY, I'm still new here!) The reason being that I have the most in common with those ladies and they are really helpful and encouraging.

Tell me about your TK s/n: I prefer to remain mysterious, thankyouverymuch.

I will say that though I like Bob Marley, it has nothing to do with him! Or A Christmas Carol, for that matter.

How long have you been posting on TK?: Since about September.

Why'd you start posting?: Fun? Mainly as an outlet for all my gushy I-wanna-marry-my-BF feelings.

We're not quite there yet, and we're good with that. But I dream about it.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?: Well, since I hang out here all the time, I'd say it's NEY.

You gals are smart and funny and I like it here. Moms and Maids is my other favorite and least favorite at the same time. I like it for the good advice in dealing with crazy people, but I also don't like it sometimes. Example: they're always telling brides to let bridesmaids pick their own dresses. Sorry, but when my BFF got married earlier this year, she emailed me a style number, and I went and bought the dress. That's what good friends do IMO. It was her wedding. My job as her BFF was to buy the dress and show up with a smile on my face, even if it had been hideous. (Hopefully, the bride chooses something non-hideous out of courtesy to her friends!) I also don't happen to like the trend of putting bridesmaids in different dresses in the same color, which they're always touting. Maybe it comes from years as a ballet dancer, where in the corps de ballet, everyone wears the same thing and blends together, but dude: it's about the bride. The reason BMs wear the same dress is so they don't pull the eye from the main event! I'm not saying brides shouldn't be accommodating--they should. But I think bridesmaids should be, as well. You're there to support your friend, after all.

Paige - I'm on the Done being the fat girl and a challenge team (it's a seasonal base challenge). Mostly the challenge team though, the DBTFG can get repeatative at times.

Calindi - I lurk on MB too, but they REALLY scare me... I think i've posted once because they were jumping all over a poor girl and I felt bad.

um.. FI made it up. Bella, for our dog... F for his last name.... and cocoa? I think it's because he's brown and we teast a lot about brown vs. white. but i'm not positive about that reasoning.

Marley, I am too. I think there are <em>some</em> etiquette rules that are basically mandatory, but not all. TK has some very knot-specific etiquette "rules" that I just kinda go meh about.

How long have you been posting on TK?: Almost two years is when I first made an account. So I'd say about a year and a half.

Why'd you start posting?: I got engaged and my mother told me about this site. Also, I was looking for a venue and I wanted to talk to the local girls.

Fav. board? Least fav? Why for?: Fav: This one, or the Christian one. Least favorite: Some of the month boards because there isn't as much traffic on the less popular months... I like how on this board there's always something goin on.
