Have you ever had a Wedding Binge?

Let me explain. I went to my friends wedding last weekend and several things bothered me about it. Things I personally would not want in my wedding, things they forgot that really hammered home to me how much I want them in my wedding, etc. So after all of this, all these points sat with me for 3 days. I couldn't concentrate on anything!
So we get home Monday night, and suddenly I'm like a crazy person cutting out paper circles miming tables, and printing up my guest list, cutting their names into strips and then creating a seating chart on the floor. I think FI was terrified for his life! I lined out our rough draft of the seating chart and then crashed like a 5 year old after too much birthday cake.
Thought I was done. Oh no. Next day I drag him out to Michael's, buy our Shadowbox for display purposes, find out that this Monday, Michael's is having a 20% off total purchase, so we'll be going back! I revised the wedding shower lists for my family, going to Alfred Angelo's to get my sis's dress ordered, going to approve centerpieces tomorrow..... AGH! I can't stop!! What is wrong with me! I was just cruising through, and suddenly, after seeing my friends wedding, and also hearing mulitiple times that night, 'You two are up next!' Now I'm all over everything! Even tiny minute details. Anyone else have a binge cycle? I'm hoping it kind of drops off, lol! I'm having fun! But I'm sure FI wants to throttle me, maybe not. :P Let me know if you girls have experienced this!

I've totally done this! A couple days of being super-productive and almost obsessed... and then it ends, and I go back to being my lazy self. :)

For sure. I'll be researching and emailing like crazy for vendors or reception ideas and then I don't do anything for two weeks. Although I think it's partly caus FI is like "what are you going to do after the wedding since you spend every waking minute on it?", therefore I've tried to cut back a bit so that those around me don't think I'm crazy. Nice to know I'm not the only one!

I have not, can I ? Please?! I keep delaying and procrastinating and putting stuff off and it's starting to bite me in the asss. Case in point, now working on a new baker. :P

I tend to get really focused on one thing at a time.  This week it was getting our plane tix and booking accommodations for the HM.  Next week I want to nail down our officiant.  Then on to invitations.  :)

I find if I get more done if I tackle one thing at a time, and I cause less wear and tear on FI (always good) when I take it one at a time.  But I'm definitely a woman on a mission until that goal is accomplished.

we set a date and started planning at a little less than 6 months out, so basically my first month was planning crazyness. I've pretty much done everything except invites (waiting for my aunt to set up a time to put them together, she designed them, I just need to help assemble!) and I need to finish deciding on decor and booze. There isn't much anything for me to binge on. We aren't doing assigned seating soooo... hmm. It's kinda lame, I wish I had more to do!

Its funny how other people's weddings make us think to our selves "i do NOT want that at my wedding!"

Exactly Sara, I realized a lot when I went to theirs. And I'm glad I'm hearing other stories! It's okay Kstorkko, I'm usually NOT like this. I'm like Carrie said she is, one thing at a time, get through them and on to the next. But suddenly this week I'm freaking superwoman checking things off my list left and right! And yes, it feels REALLY good to get this stuff out of the way!

I think I have lots of mini binges, where wedding stuff is all I do when I'm not at work or sleeping, but mostly research and seating charts at home, not running around to stores.  And then I  have dry spells.
