Honestly, her entire post sounds made up to me...like what the ladies on some of the other boards call MUD (Made Up Drama). If it isn't, then I feel really sorry for her, especially since she is a therapist as well - her poor patients!

It may not be made up, but I do hope it is. My mom always says that nobody likes a dull story, so there may be some creative license in the account given.

I know a bunch of therapists who are crazy as hell themselves, but offer great advice to their clients. These chicks have doctorate degrees in psychology and end up dating some of the most rediculous men or have the most insane man drama. Because I know crazy therapists, I don't see it as far fetched.

Let me also add this...I hope it's fake but honestly her account is not far fetched. When I worked in DV I saw many accounts like this. In my education courses I always remind people that no one stays with someone that punches them on the first date. Abuse is first and foremost psychological, the physical is secondary. I am almost willing to bet there are other forms of control going on in that relationship that she considers "natural".
