This is the last morning I'll be starting the morning thread since FI gets back today. Now I can shower at night instead of getting up at an ungodly hour.

It's raining so I got soaked taking the dog out. That was not fun.

I took my umbrella, so I did not get soaked. The dogs *seemed* to understand that if they stood under it they got less wet, but that didn't stop them from just wandering around looking sad and refusing to step into the grass.

McFly is TERRIFIED of umbrellas (to the point where FI asked me, seriously, if I had ever beaten him with it, which duh of course not). If I take an umbrella his goal is not going to the bathroom, but digging his claws in the grass and pulling away from me. So when we go out I have to wear something with a hood. Bah.

The above discussions make me happy to have cats. I didn't get wet at all this morning except for a few drops coming into the building.

My dad is so happy about this "beneficial" rain. However, I want to know how it is beneficial when it causes so many problems.

My dog just keeps whining at the door but she won't go out. This rain could stop any time now. Going to make my 40 min. commute to work much longer this afternoon. UGHHHH!!!

Our animal science teacher has dog kennels and I seriously considered just bringing my dogs with me to school so I could take them outside as soon as the rain let up.

I guess I have finally introduced a concept to my kids that really freaks them out, because my room is slowly filling up with students wanting last-minute tutorials.

Oh, and a slight AW: I got a sub for Monday and I'm going to Pampa this weekend and we are (hopefully) buying a house!

I feel spoiled, or just lucky. Out of all the inites sent out, we have 10 RSVPs that are still TBD (4 of those are my family and they are holding out to see if my cousin's baby decides to come early, since she's due the Monday after my wedding.) Seriously, not much tracking down to do makes me very very happy.

I have a student who has a lot of behavioral and social issues, and he is becoming progressively worse as the year goes on. Yesterday he called a girl in his group (a group who hates working with him, but lets him anyway because they are nice kids) "stupid." Today he claimed he's come down with "test-o-phobia" and can't take his test. He is sitting in the back of the room trembling to feign fear.

It is taking all I have in me to not go all "MANDA SMASH" on him.

I don't know how you do it. I wouldn't have the patience. One of my best friends is a special ed teacher and she keeps her cool during school but once she's out she cusses like Sailor. I sure don't blame her.

He was like..."I don't have long we're really busy right now."

Amanda -- Good luck on the house this weekend!

We changed our Realtor today. Glad to have found someone who will actually help us find places we might be interested in instead of just telling me to continue to daily search through the MLS and "keep sending me numbers of houses you like!"

I LOVE this rainy weather! If only I could go home, crawl in bed, and take a nap.
