Bridal Shopping??

Where did you all go to try on your wedding dresses or buy them? I am going next weekend with a bunch of my bridesmaids and have no clue where to go. Thanks!

I went to  The Bridal Collection in DTC of of Belleview. Little White Dress Shop in Castle Rock, Anna Be in Highlands (the only place that offered champagne!) and D'anneli's Bridal.  I ended buying my dress from D'anneli's....only because they had the same brand as some of the other shops but were cheaper.

I've heard good things about Amanda's but no experience.  The Bridal Collection gave me the closest vibe to those Say Yes to the Dress shows, but $$$$.

Have fun!  I wish I hadn't found my dress as quickly bc it's such a fun fun process!

I went to D'anneli's and Amandas for my dress.  I ended up buying my dress from Amandas. We went to David's Bridal in Parker for the girl's dresses.

D'annelis was not as friendly to me. They were not bad, but really did not listen to what I wanted.

Amanda's is good, but got on a week day if you can. Saturdays are busy and you will not get as much attention because you do not need an appointment. Also if you can work with Jan, she is the best! The other girls can be a little on the cold side. The prices for the dresses are really good.

David's Bridal was a nightmare, but we could not beat the price. We got the girls dresses for $60.00. Though, the sales ladies are kinda rude and do not listen to what we were looking for. They also did not know the stock very well, so we did a lot of the work. We looked on line before we went , so we knew what they offered, even if they did not.  But once again we could not beat the price.

    i went to david's bridal

i mean if you want a preliminary look and you're really not that interested in buying right away

my experience with DBs was dissapointing, i knew more than the stylist and they didn't have stuff in my size

i'm considering buying my dress online and getting it tailored

I got my dress from Style Bride in Pueblo.  I went to Amandas and DB to try on dresses though DB was a total waste of time and energy as they didn't actually help me at all (my sister and I ended up pulling dresses for me to try).

I was a bm in a wedding last year and we got our dresses at The Bridal Collection.  The only complaint I had was they don't do bm dress alterations at all so we all had to go elsewhere and they hardly had anything in over a size 10 (the only person who fit in the sample was an 11 year old and the bride was a size 6 and still couldn't try it on!)

    Anna Be was fantastic.

I guess it just depends on a lot of things -- do you have your eyes on a certain designer or style? Budget? Start there and narrow things down. I think different salons definitely do have different styles. You don't want to end up at Priscilla's if your style is more boho, you know?

Schaffers is also good. I love the room they have and their quality and selection of their dresses.

I looked at Dina's Bridal in Superior...they have a smaller selection but it seemed like every dress they had was beautiful and their prices are pretty reasonable.  I ended up buying my dress back in Florida (where I am getting married...mostly for convenience purposes) If hadn't decided to do that, I would've got mine from Dina's.

Good luck to you and have fun! It is by far one of the most exciting things to do as far as the wedding goes!!!:)

I wasn't much pleased with any of the places I went to. My advice, take a camera, take photos of each dress, even if you don't like it, front and back.  I went to David's Bridal - which is a zoo and Amanda's which was actually nicer and they knew more about the dresses.  DO NOT BELIEVE THE SALES PEOPLE.  I tried on dresses and was told how great I looked only to get home and download the photos and my thought was "huh?".  Go back a few times and try your dress on.  I bought my dress from David's Bridal.  They did not have my size and assured me if I bought my size, it would fit just great - well, it didn't.  I had to have major alterations due to my body type.  The up note on DB is that if you do not get alterations and keep the tag on the dress...you find a dress you just have to have later, they will exchange it.  Anyway, good luck!!!

Bridal Collection (South Denver?) - I bought my shoes there.  The price on the shoes in the store were posted.  I asked if it cost more to order in my size and was told no - they charged me $30 more.  When I realized they overcharged me the sales girl responded, "we can charge whatever we want", hmmm, not really.  I did get a credit but don't recommend them.

I bought everything from The Bridal Collection. I shopped everywhere...Blue, Pricilla of Boston, Schaeffer's, D'Anneli, and Little White Dress. Altough my favorite dress was not at The Bridal Collection, I felt like I could really trust them with such a big purchase, so I bought my #2 favorite dress. My consultant was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I could not have asked for a better experience.
