• Thanks to all. Sorry to highjack the thread - not an AW attempt.

We can go back to buying dragons :)

  • Mynameis - I'm really sorry to hear you went through that. I'm glad you're in a better place.

Right now, no - I would not take that 1% chance. Especially not for 1 million. Stick a "b" in there and there would be no question at this stage in my life, as long as it's not a horrible painful death. I'm in the no way in Hell if I had kids group.

We cannot tell H that there has been any talk of buying dragons. NOT ALLOWED!
  • You can't live and retire off $1M, or at least not the rest of your life. Way too little. And 1% is way too high of a chance. I mean, think of a room with 500 people. 5 of them will die with those odds. If the amount was higher, and the percentage lower, maybe. Really though......I'm not much of a gambler, especially with my life.

  • What's this about buying dragons? I bought a dragon a couple of months ago.
  • Don't tell H, Daff. He was so sure he was going to get this huge dragon tattoo until he got a little one and realized he's a baby. I think he might rival LDY's husband with his dragon obsession.

  • No, that's not worth risking my life, especially considering it would only be about $500,000 after taxes.
  • Mun1 sorry you and your children had to go through that. You have a great attitude!

I would choose to not buy the ticket. I have so much that I still want to see my kids do and I can't do that if I am dead.

Money is not really a big deal, sure it makes life pretty easy, but it can't bring your loved ones back if they are gone.

  • Poke, I keep not recognizing you with your new avatar. Most people I recoginize with their sigs, but I guess with you it was always the avatar. At least I know your SN if all else fails!

    Cool story, Angel.

He can have one of H's dragon tattoos.

And my STFU puppies! But yeah - I didn't recognize me either at first. When I was looking for a post I made I couldn't find it - then remembered I changed my avatar. Whoops, haha.

  • Yeah I'd probably do it. I do have bad luck though so I would probably die. Maybe I should get a life insurance policy before I buy the ticket though.
  • Nope. Wouldn't do it.

Noo way. A million bucks isn't worth tempting fate. Honestly, I don't think I'd do it for 10 million either. Maybe 100 million, but I don't know..

  • My kids are grown. I'd do it.
