Return Address Method?

How are you putting your return address on your invites? Stamp, labels, printed etc. I am very torn!
My shower invites just came in and I printed guest address labels for them. To save time I was going to just order a self-inking stamp for our return address because I figured I could use it for our thank you's too and since our initials are both A.S it could get used both now and later. BUT apparently the stamp I want has a 12+ business day turnover and I wanna get these out ASAP and I dont think the stamp I like is fancy enough for our actual wedding invites. So pass.

Then I had the bright idea of getting an embosser. I figured this would be nice enough to use on everything from the shower and thank you's and also the wedding invites themselves too. Also I found a website that ships from MI in 3 days. So seems like the best option overall.

My issue is I hear mixed reviews on embossing and the post office. Is it OK to use this as my primary return address? Or do I need a more defined return address? I'm only freaking cuz of course I'm last minute on everything and its like $50 so I dont wanna waste money either. Thoughts?

I don't know if this will help, but I just ordered a custom stamp from this person and it was incrediably fast. I placed my order on a Thursday, the person got me a proof to approve within hours and I received it in the mail on Monday.

First of all, you're almost 4 months out!  You are not at all last minute.  Invites aren't supposed to go out until around 6-8 weeks out, so you have PLENTY of time!  FWIW, printing envelopes was one of the last things I did - just one week before I mailed them out.  So you have time to do whatever you want to do, don't worry about that.

I'm sorry, I know nothing about embossing.  I just printed mine directly on the back flap of the envelopes.  Pics in bio under DIY.  I included a little flourish graphic to make it look fancier.  None were rejected by the post office, and one was successfully returned for me due to a wrong address, so it for sure works to do it that way!

I just handwrote mine on the backs of the envelopes as I was addressing the front.

And ditto pp about time - you have another 2 months to get them ready it will be ok!
