What is the....

most rebelious thing you've ever done?

Re: What is the....

  • I'm pretty tame, drinking under age.  I am sure I have done other things but I can't think of them at the moment.

  • drinking underage
I "dated" a guy behind my parents back. Looking back I don't know what I was thinking because he was so wrong for me.

  • I drank underage and went to the local plaza to get some pizza... my friend I was drinking with was acting super drunk and silly and we got put in the back of the cop car and driven home.  It was mortifying.
  • I'd rather not share it completely, but let's just say H and I did many things we shouldn't have before we got married. Neither of our parents will know, and there is no need for them to.

  • My freshmen year of college I declared my independance by flying to LA, meeting up wtih my best friend and getting my belly button peirced in a skeevy tattoo parlor.

I also made out with my HS boyfriend on the top of a firetruck.

By rebelious I mean the most rebelious decision you've made publicly, like the "in your face I do what I want" things... not mistakes or regrets or whatever. The fun stuff that might surprise people on this board.

  • Here we go...

Drinking underage, some marijuana use, driving 4 hours every weekend to stay with FI when we lived apart for college.

I'd say those are my 3 most rebellious things.

  • The most? Uhhh...there's two things that tie for me, I think.
    1. Dated someone who I knew was bad news and everyone was telling me was bad news, but I pretty much told everyone to shut up and back off. I ended the relationship after too long and after quite a bit of heartache.
    2. Refused to take medication for a condition I have because I didn't like what it did to me. I wanted to be "normal." Yeah, that lasted about three weeks until I ended up the hospital and was forced to take the medication, anyway.

  • I started cussing in 9th grade, just to make some new "friends," since I thought the friends I'd had since elementary school just weren't good enough anymore.  I quickly realized that it wasn't worth losing my true friends and absolutely destroying any credibility that my testimony had left.  It took most of 10th grade to re-establish those original friendships and have the others at school (including those in my youth group) that the real me was back.

My parents still don't know about that, though.
  • OOH I know one.  I missed my crew few all the time and I made up creative stories about why I was late! :)

  • Not only dated the wrong guy(s) but hid an engagement when I was 16...

    I was a stupid teenager. :)

  • ~Drank a lot in college while I was underage, thankfully I never got in trouble or hurt anyone. *VERY thankful!*

~Snuck out of the house when I was 15 to go out with my boyfriend, yes I got caught lol.

~Some marijuana use in early college, but I never smoked it that much, and honestly don't care for it at all. I'll never understand the appeal.

~Went on a vacation with a guy I was only casually dating. It was NOT a good idea... it was a beautiful vacation to the Caribbean, but we bickered most of the time, and I knew I wanted to end things before we even got on the flight home. Oy..

Looking back at all this makes me so thankful for where my life is at now and for my DH!

  • A lot of college partying and.....

my junior year my sorority sisters and I went to Miami for Spring Break and we purposely missed our flight home so we could stay longer. whoops! Not the best idea but it was fun at the time.

It was fun being young but I'm glad I have grown up and matured a bit.
