Old, New, Borrowed and Blue???

Hey!

What are you guys doing for your old, new, borrowed, and blue?

My Old - a piece of my grandmother's jewlery is being wound through my bouquet and brought down the handle so I can hold onto it.

New - jewlery my mom bought for me in British Columbia, Canada (I'm from Saskatchewan)

Borrowed - family friend lent me her handmade garter that she wore 35 years ago

Blue - I have no idea!!!!! (looking for something original and can't think of one....)

**My colors are black and gold with ivory accents, and I just can't find something blue that fits....

New - The Dress and Shoes

Old/Borrowed - Both of my grandmothers' original wedding bands. They have a combined 85 years of happy married life.

Blue - Because October is World Series time and FI and I love the Cubs, I'm wearing a Chicago Cubs garter that I found on Etsy. As an engagement gift, my sister ordered a tag with my maiden name monogram (enbroidered in blue) to be sewn into my wedding dress because it is the last thing I will wear as a single girl.

Blue - My earrings and right hand ring are blue diamonds. I will also have blue undies.

Old: a handkerchef that was my great-grandmother's wrapped around my bouquet

New: Hair comb to replace my veil at the reception, and a bracelet (both of which I still have to get)

Blue: A saphire ring that was my great-grandmothe's (same great-grandmother as above, we were very close. She passed away when I was 13, and I wish she was still around. I miss her so much)

Borrowed: no clue???

Old-My great grandmothers pearls

borrowed- the pearl necklace and prob some other kind of jewelry

New- I guess my dress, but other than that?

Blue- My mom wants me to carry my other great grandma's blue hanky, but my grandpa gave me a blue sapphire ring for Christmas that I might wear.

Old- My Great aunt's handkerchief, I was named after her and my other Aunt carried this handkerchief on her wedding day. When my younger cousin gets married I will give it to her.

New- Shoes

Borrowed- I may borrow my Mom's pearl earrings

Blue- I want to get a pair of blue boy shorts that say "Chris' Mrs" on the butt.

My mom is making me a garter based on the one my grandmother made for her when she married my dad. She pulled the lace off her bouquet holder from the wedding to use as trim, which will be my something old, and the garter itself will be blue. New is my dress and accessories. I don't have a 'something borrowed' yet. And no one else has mentioned the 'sixpence in the shoe' thing, but I'm doing that part so I'll throw that in too. My sister brought me a 20 pence coin from London when she went there, and it's from the year FI was born. I'll be sticking it in my shoe, though I'm not sure how since I plan to wear sandals...

My colors are black and gold also. Like Achiduck, I am doing the blue rhinestones on the bottom of my shoes. I just got them in the mail the other day. I ordered them from Etsy, and they were only $10.

Old: A hankerchief my grandmother bought for me in Ireland before I was born. I wore it as a bonnet when I was baptised and it comes with a super cute poem about how to turn the bonnet into a hankey on your wedding day.

New: Dress, shoes, jewelry.

Borrowed: I might borrow my FSIL's veil. If it doesnt look good with my dress I'm just gonna borrow some jewelry from my mom and/or aunts.

Blue: My sisters bought me a blue garter!

blue: I'm changing the balls on my nipple piercing to blue, my girls are getting flasks filled with blue caraco, my nephew is wearing a blue vest.

Old - Flowers from my grandmother's and mother's wedding dresses will be sewn into the comb for my veil. I'm very excited about that! Also, my pearl necklace, which my godparent's started for me when I was born.

New - Dress, veil.

Borrowed - bracelet from one of my BMs

Blue - undies! (the, erhm, lower half)

Old/Borrowed- My Gradma's pearls. After she passed away my Grandpa mentioned having all his grand daughters (5) where them at their wedding. I am so happy I get to have just a little of her with me that day.

New-Dress, Shoes, Earrings,

Blue- The Saphire ring my FI gave me the first Christmas we were together. My garter also has a blue ribbon on it.

Old not sure yet I hope we can find something of my Grandma's that I can carry since she died last year. I have to talk to one of my aunts to see. New dress and shoes...undergarments. Borrowed whatever my something old is will also be borrowed, also planning to borrow a veil as long as it looks good with my dress. Blue my shoes are being dyed the same blue that my BM dresses are. Sixpence Mom said I could use a penny but I'm not too sure about that!
