Short version: BIL and ex-girlfriend got in an argument - BIL left and went to parents house - ex-gf took her dad and brother over to IL's house and busted in when MIL answered the door the ex-gf's brother proceeded to beat up BIL while hitting IL's at the same time trying to break it up. FIL got it broken up just as the dad comes inside so FIL goes to call police and then the dad starts beating up BIL. MIL got all sorts of messed up and is still on all sorts of medication b/c it has really messed her up emotionally.
ETA: Needless to say, I'm not over it and BIL's ex is a c*nt!
OMG - I am so sore. We did a 10 mile hike yesterday that kicked my butt. My left knee really hurts. My shoulder hurt because of my backpack. I'm glad I did the hike, but I can say I will never do it again. People think we were nuts.
Funny think I noticed on the hike. On the north side of the island it was pretty wet. We had to worry about wet leaves and stuff. It was pretty green and lush. We hiked over a hill to take us to the south side and it was dry as a desert. We are only talking about less than 2 miles difference between the 2 places and the difference was amazing.
Things I will not miss about the island: We were gone from 6am until 5pm (hiked for almost 8 of those hours). When we got back to St Thomas the power was out and had been since 7am. It didn't go back on until after 6pm. So after a long day of hiking I got to come home to no power and cold water shower. Yep, not going to miss those all day power outages.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

No worries guys. It's not new drama. Just the first time I've seen the stupid girl since it all happened. Things have actually been going really well between BIL and this chick - they aren't together, but they're getting along "ok" for the baby's sake. I just really can't stand her. Trevor was just annoyed knowing she was in our house and he wasn't even home.

Good morning! I plan to go to the DMV today to get my new license, ugh. I would wait until after my wedding so I can change everything at once, but since there are so many things I need to prove that I actually live here and I don't want to carry an electric bill around with me at all times, to the DMV it is.
Rosie-there are some herbal/naturopathy things that I use instead of meds that work wonders. If you don't want meds, or doctor won't give them to you, I can tell you what I use.
I can't wait for H and I to spend some quality time together before I leave. Our friends will be gone Saturday, so we should have the house to ourselves. We are going to take my Dad out to dinner. And hopefully we will be able to see some of our friends, too, that are coming down for another mutual friends boot camp graduation.
Good morning everyone. I'm already burnt out today. Probably because it took me an hour and a half to get to work today. Normally it takes me 40 minutes. Luckily my boss was stuck in the same exact traffic jam so as soon as I walked in she sent me to Starbucks. Why yes, coffee is my pregnancy vice.
So, whoever was talking about rice cakes last night, I blame you for the fact that I went to Target and got a bag of mini Ranch flavored rice cakes. Cause dayum, those are deelishus.
Oh yeah, and H put in his 2 weeks notice yesterday. That means he will definitely join me Memorial Day weekend. It will be a nice little reunion and time for a party when he gets home.
I am going to Buenos Aires in T-11 hours. I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to concentrate on work today because I am too excited to think, but I will try. I just want to get there and get to my friend's bachelorette party!
What little respect I have for FMIL is eroding quickly. She's in the hospital with chest pains and trouble breathing. She told us last week that her cardiologist told her she had congestive heart failure.
After freaking out FI with all of her "I'm so sick, I'm going to die" stuff, and making him cry because he thought his last surviving parent was going to die, we went to visit her. SHE IS FINE. We were there when one of the cardiologists from her practice came to see her, and he said she was out of breath because she's out of shape, they can't find anything wrong with any of the tests, and no one told her she had congestive heart failure, only that she had a major risk of heart disease.
Oh, and while we were waiting for the doctor to come in, she was talking about our wedding. She's offered to put her teeth in for the pictures, but only her "showin' teeth." WTF?
Morning, All! I fully planned on working from home today, and my key fob is broken. So I'm at my office. Pissed. We went for a two hour walk with the kids last night with an hour in the middle at the park, and my body is sleepy and wants sweats and slippers.

Mornin' guys! My computer is effed up. I can't configure windows updates or do a system restore. I guess it's a virus, but it's not acting weird in any other way. Guess I'll have to take it over to IT and use my old one for a couple days. Yay.
Lauren - She's a local artist. I don't know what song it is though. She's not a small time artist but she's not a mega superstar either so you probably haven't heard of her.
