Hot Mess Studio

I am highly considering using Hot Mess Studio in Asbury Park to do my hair & makeup, along with the hair and makeup for my girls.  There is one catch- because I am getting married on Labor Day weekend, there is a $25 per person per service fee added.  That means if everyone has their hair and makeup done, I have to pay an extra $50 per person on top of the usual fee.  I've heard awesome things about the salon and really wanted to use them, but I am not sure if the extra fee is worth it.  Would love to hear from others that have used Hot Mess.  Otherwise, recommendations for hair & makeup are welcome.

    I don't have an opinion either way about using them- but I would absolutely use the same person for you as you do your bridesmaids. You can only manage so much that day and another person is going to be too much. Also you don't want your bridesmaid feeling like the person they're using wasn't "good enough" for you to use. Whoever you do chose, I would stick to the same vendor for everyone's hair and makeup.

    I am using Jeanine Mangan for makeup, she travels to you and there isn't a fee for travel or holidays. www.jmmakeupdesigns.com
    Hair I am using Mandy. www.lasorellabridal.com
    Both are great. I wouldn't spend the extra money because of the holiday weekend.

    Thats funny, I just looked them up the other night lol. I am trying so hard to keep everything pretty local because I would be a nervous wreck if I had someone traveling from North Jersey to the shore area on a Saturday in the summer(I'm getting married 8-6-11), nevermind Labor Day weekend, what if they got stuck in traffic? Maybe I'm anal lol.
    But at the same time I think thats pretty bogus that they want to charge you extra.
