Rabbi?

I am hoping to find a Rabbi to perform my interfaith ceremony. I am Jewish and my FI is not religous at all so I would really like a rabbi. I am in Albany NY. Any ideas?

I take it you don't already belong to a congregation and could ask its rabbi. Besides checking the local and Jewish boards, I'd just start calling Reform and Conservative temples (listed in the phone book) and saying what you said here.

I had this posted in a facebook at (first time EVER one of those came in handy) http://www.interfaithfamily.com/ . Essentially you can sign up/put some details and they will email you Rabbis who will do an interfaith wedding in your area. There was an option for Rabbis who are willing to do a joint ceromony on there also. I'm not doing really an interfaith one, but needed a Rabbi anyway so I signed up. I did get some recomendatoins, but havn't started contacting people/am not married yet, so I can't recommend based on experience, but its another thing to check out!

We're having him officate our wedding, and he's willing to travel anywhere for weddings. He's really nice, really focused on making our cerimony what we want, and we're very happy so far. He is more expensive than the other people we looked at, but he is an ordained rabbi, which is was important to FSpoon, so he's worth it.

I'd focus on Reform temples rather than Conservative ones, you likely won't find a Conservative rabbi willing to preform an interfaith ceremony. Also, consider looking for cantors as well, they can preform weddings.

Also, not sure if you and your Fi have discussed this yet but maybe clergy, no matter their demonination require your spouse to take intro to Judaism classes and agree to raise your children Jewish.

Jews don't NEED a Rabbi to marry them, it's just that Rabbis are trained on everything to do with the traditions.
