I might be over thinking this a little. We already have thank you cards printed up that we are using for our wedding gifts. They are from our engagement session. Is it ok to use these for shower gifts too or should those be separate looking thank you cards? The Wedding ones do not specifically say thanks for attending the wedding or anything.

The bolded part makes me think you aren't handwriting your thank you cards, but rather printing them off so they all say the same thing. Please tell me this is wrong. Please?

no no no, i think she means the outside of the card.
personally, i used seperate ones for the shower then from the wedding, i got generic 'thank you' cards for the shower, then we did a photo where we held a 'thank you' sign and got thank you cards with the photo on them. it was a fun thing to send out after the wedding :)
My shower hostess got me TY notes that matched the shower invites, so I used those for shower gifts, and we have TY notes that match our invites for wedding presents (before we received the printed notes, we just used generic TY cards for early wedding gifts).
