I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, but I think it would be pretty awesome to go see the spectacle that one of her shows must be.  Have fun!! =)

I kinda miss the FFF's we had about a year ago.  Talk about action packed, I never had a dull Friday.   If anyone wants to throw flames at me, please do!!  I volunteer myself to be a guinea pig.  I won't cry. =)

I was just talking about the Lady Gaga concert with my husband this morning.  I told him that while I wouldn't pay $60 to go see her, I'd definitely go to her concert just to see the spectacle that she'll put on.  I bet it's a good show.

I heard on the radio this morning that Twinings is giving her the opportunity to make a custom blended tea just because she was seen carrying a teacup as an accesory in the airport. It is insane how famous she is.

We used to have some really heated FFFs back in the day.  I'm not sure why it's changed really because there are still quite a few people around now that were here a few years ago.

I wonder if it's because we're afraid to offend all the new people?  There are a few girls on here that I don't think could handle a real FFF.

I'm kind of tired of the Lady GaGa talk.  A few coworkers went and I've heard their stories 2 or 3 times already this morning since they are telling it to different people each time.

I really want to flame someone here at work.  She's one of the church freaks who is awful to people.  I really want to walk up to her and say "although you may not see what a horrible person you are when you look in the mirror, GOD SEES IT."

Mariah - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it.

Everyone that's talking about old FFF - Do it. Do it. Do it.  I volunteer myself too for some good flames, I think we all need them.  Flame away... I won't cry either.

Tiffany - Yes we are on a roll this week!  I am excited about the event tomorrow!  Are you?

To the Lady Gaga lovers - (even Tiffany... sorry honey) - I HATE LADY GAGA... she's annoying, unoriginal (uh, does she remind anyone of Madonna?), and her songs are stupid.  She has no meaning to lyrics, it's seriously all nonsense.  I want your disease. Really? You want a disease?  You're a creep.

On the same note, I also can't stand Ke$ha, for probably all of the same reasons.

    End rant.

I do too.  Seems so odd to me for a church to offer it's new members free valet and coffee from it's Starbuck's like coffee bar.  I walked out.

I'm flaming this freakin' hot summer.  I don't want to go running at 6:00am tomorrow, but besides 10:00 at night, that is the only cool enough time to go.  And while I'm at it, flaming the downtown 24 Hr Fitness.  Is it really that hard to put up some fans or sun blockers around the track?  It is 88 f'ing degrees around the track.  I spend 30 minutes running and 45 trying to cool down.

Don't worry Mariah - I'll be there at 6:00 tomorrow.  Armed with my neck cooler and ice water!

    1) Bridget, I don't know if you know the definitions of these daily posts or not.  You need to review them.  FFF is not AW Thursday.  Your little black dress comment should be it's own post.  If you want to Attention Whore it, then do that.  But don't start out a FFF post like that.

    2) If you ask for opinions in your post, don't get all upset when people give them to you.  Sure you can choose to accept the opinions or not, but what's the point of saying, "hey is this a bad idea?" and then 20 people tell you it is, but you try to stick up for your opinion.  If you didn't want the opinions, you shouldn't have asked for them.  This has been going on for years since I've been on the board....

    3) I don't know why so many people rely on random strangers for ideas on their wedding day.  Like wedding colors.  Why are you asking a group of girls on an internet site what colors you should use for your wedding??? It's YOUR wedding.  YOU pick the colors YOU want to use.  Look through bridal books.  Google images.

    4) I used to be completely against Honeymoon registries.  Now I don't mind them so much.  But I'm still old fashioned and think you should register for household items.

    5) I think the dollar dance/money dance is tacky.  If people want to give you money on your wedding day, they should put it in a card...and if I want to dance with the bride or groom, I shouldn't have to pay for it.  Chances are, I've already paid for a new outfit to wear at your wedding, gas to get out to your ceremony and reception (that 80% of the time aren't even held at the same location, so there's even more driving on top of that), a nice gift for you...and by God, I don't carry cash when I go to a wedding.

    6) I think cash bars are even tackier than dollar dances.  I don't care what the excuse is.

    7) I hate when someone posts something like, "I'm having this awful time communicating with my FIL's" and then someone posts, "Oh I feel so bad for you!  I have the GREATEST RELATIONSHIP EVERRRRR with my FIL's!!!"  Dude....way to make someone feel even worse!  It's like bragging about finishing a marathon to someone who broke their ankle training for it.  Seriously.

Posted by balfour00[/QUOTE]hehehe  Seriously, you're a gym in downtown Dallas.  You should have the money to make your gym a little nicer.  Put up some tinting or shades, crank down your AC and make the track tolerable for people!  Dang!

I'm dreading 6:00 am.  But I know my legs and my diet will thank me for it.

As a newbie I am curious seeing the posts about the way FFF used to be! so thank you Mariah.  Also as someone new I dont think youre a b*tch from any of that I think it is all flame worthy.

Oh!  And another thing!  There are so many posts on here where I think to myself, "oh my gosh...If they posted this on the P&E board they'd be flamed to high heaven..." and I have to be nice...when in my  head I'm screaming, "Are you serious?"

To all the Knotties newbies:  I used to be quite the regular on P&E in my early times on the knot.  I used to find them funny-now, not so much.  But sometimes I think they've got excellent points and they just can't form their thoughts into a kindly worded responses because to them what you're suggesting is absolutely assinine.  (btw, I'm not referring to anyone on this board it's just a broad general statement about the girls who post on that board)  So if you ever need a heavy dose of reality, that's the board to go to.  You want to talk "realist"-there are some REAL girls on there.

I hate dollar dances!  I agree its tacky.  I hadn't even seen anyone do it until I went to a wedding last year.  I wouldn't want people paying money just to dance with me....that just seems weird...

I love P&E and SB just to lurk because they do tell people exactly how it is but can also be down right vicious.  Sometimes I feel bad for the girls that get flamed so badly but at the same time P&E has a sticky at the top that basically says we will give you our opinion and it may not be nice and snarky brides come on what do you expect from a board with that title..

Just as a general flame because I've thought it... many times... and to reiterate what I posted on SA Wednesday:

If you don't like something, and you have control over it... FIX IT.  Quit freakin' complaining about it.  If it's important, then spend money/more money on it.  It's not worth the stress to yourself and everyone else that has to hear it.
