  My first trial was $45 and she was going to charge me $75 for the day of but i didn't go with her because i wasn't really into what she did with me hair it wasn't likethe picture it was totally different. The salon i booked for the day of charges $85 for trial which i think is too much for a trial but i'm also on a budget so i haven't gone to a trial there but one of my bm says their awesome and i trust her judgement since she's a bit  high maintenance and i doubt she'd go somewhere less then great. So $90 sounds about right for a trail. Some are less some are more.

  I didn't think it was reasonable , but it is what I paid. I was really happy with the results so I didn't mind in the end.  I guess they figure some people would claim "trial" when they were just looking for an updo.  Not sure.

  i didn't pay for my trial, since my hairstylist is my friend, and i had gone in for a haircut that day (and her boss wasn't in), but, for the day of i only paid $50, and i think that they charge that for the trial too....because its just an updo......i can't see why they'd charge more than $50 for the trial....

  Oh boy, I paid anywhere from $50-80 and wasn't happy with 1 style each of them did.  I went to Stacy and *think* she was about $60 but then different 6 completely different styles for me.  However, I would say she is not the norm.

  I think I'm paying like 75.00.  At first we tried to negotiate them down, but they explained that the trial is more intricate then even the day of.  They explained they do several styles at the trial, until I am in love with it.  That should make it worth it!

  I don't mind paying for their time and effort, but I just thought it was weird that the trial would be just as much as the actual day-of. Or, if they're doing more work during the trial (by doing different styles and tweaking things), why isn't the trial more money than the day-of?

  I paid $80....so ridiculous if you ask me. It took her 20 minutes to do my hair.

  I paid $75 for the trial and $150 for the day of.
  At the trial she worked on my hair until I was completely happy. When I left I was really comfortable that she was good.
  I went to another trial that was $50 and she kept saying "it will look something like this" but didn't really do much. That is why I went to someone else.

  What always gets me is that the trial sometimes is half the cost of they day of....if they are supposed to be doing the same thing the day of, why is it double the price?
