What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?

What wedding-related project are you tackling this July?

You mean August, right? I'm going to finish up some little projects (garter, earrings, Matt's bout, etc.), address & print the invites, package up our lavender toss, buy our wedding bands, make a cake stand, and probably buy a few other things or save up for honeymoon activities.

Pic in bio. It's lace, sweetheart neckline (popular in the 1940s), keyhole back, taupe sash, cap sleeves, and chapel length train. It isn't vintage but it has an old fashioned appeal.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? Working on inspirations for my invites still.... Newest idea is doing something like from the Oscars "and the award goes to" envelope since I'm going with a Hollywood glam theme. Only it won't talk about awards anywhere!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August? I'm making hair clips for my bridesmaids. They will be various black flowers with feathers and other beads and rhinestones for details. Pictures to come!

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?
Nothing new, specifically. I've been gathering a lot of inspiration photos and I'm going to try and get a bio going soon.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August?
We're doing research on venues, so when we move we have an idea of what we want and a list of places we want to see. It's slightly depressing, because we're on a budget and everywhere that's different or has any character to it, seems to be way too expensive. We'll have to figure something out. I'm debating a brunch or a cocktail reception, just so we can have a really great venue.

I was originally going to do a tea length dress, but after trying a few different kinds of dresses on, I think I want to go a different direction. I think I want lace and lots of it. This is the current dress I'm lusting after.

Thanks! I wanna give it some time before I buy it because I'm still more than two years away, and I'm hoping that when I do buy it, it'll be in a significantly smaller size! I love yours, too. It's a gorgeous dress. I've eyed it before on david's website.

I have an ivory tea length dress. We are going with a 60's theme. My FI is wearing a tapered grey suit with thin tie (Don Draper-esq). What are your thoughts on shoes? I found a super cute really pointy pair with closed toe. But since it's August, wanted open toe. I have size 11 feet and am tall so don't want really high heels and I'm struggling. Thoughts?

Inspiration: Nothing new, really.

Project: I'm back to tackling projects, finally! Gave the artist a nudge so that we can get invitations done and set up a couple of options on Magnetstreet. We got STDs from them, and they were really easy, so I think we're just going to use them for invites too. I need to work on decor. And, we've picked 3 cupcake bakeries to try. Mmmm... cupcakes.

Dress: See bio. It got delivered to my mom's house this morning!

Lately I've been thinking about music...I was thinking about walking down the isle to Unforgettable-Nat King Cole...not sure about anything else yet...still brain storming.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August?
Pricing out the BM dresses I found on Etsy to local seamstresses to see if I can get them just a tad cheaper....we'll see.

It's amazing...and no I still don't have pictures of me in it. This is the only place I'm showing pictures of the dress. I'm not even putting pictures of it in my Bio for fear that it will get back to my FI.

I think it has a slight classic look due to the fact that it's so simple....god I'm SO in love with this dress.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? I've been looking for cute outfits for a boudoir photo shoot. I'm thinking of doing several time periods... retro bathing suits, 40's war era inspired pics, and I want to do a style similar to the Sofia Coppola movie Marie Antoinette. I love the pic on the front of the soundtrack for that movie!!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August? Programs, Honeymoon, hair & makeup trials, & hanging votives for centerpieces just to name a few.

Tell us about/let us see your dress (or your inspiration dress if you haven't chosen one yet)! Is it retro/vintage? My gown is white, pretty plain, and mermaid style. To me it has a little bit of a hollywood glam look to it. The after party dress is ivory tulle and adorable!

um... all of them?? I'm getting married in 10 days, so I'm going to work on the final details: finishing the play list for the DJ, wrapping gifts for the bridal party, bathroom baskets, finding something blue to borrow (!)

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? i dont think we have come up with anything lately!!

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August? We did tuxes, i will have to start favors, programs and escort cards as my RSVP's come in!!

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration?
My latest (and continuing) vintage inspiration is letterpress. I lust for letterpress and am trying to find a way to get our invitations done using letterpress and within a somewhat reasonable price.

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August?
Two projects for August: (1) Get the Save the Date postcards mailed. Done. And with lots of compliments received! Woo hoo! (2) Get face-to-face appts with two florist to discuss floral/decor requirements. One appt booked and still trying to get another booked.

I have several inspiration dresses, so it would be ridiculous to paste them all here. Designers that thrill me: Stephanie James (www.stephaniejamescouture.com), Fancy (dressmefancy.com) and Mary Adams the Dress (maryadamsthedress.com). *sigh* My dress with be vintage inspired, indeed.

What's your latest retro/vintage idea/inspiration? Hair ideas...was thinking victory rolls, but did them and not so sure now. I'm always up for suggestions

What wedding-related project are you tackling this August? Just makin sure all lose ends are tied up...not long till I'm a Mrs.!
