Any Polish Brides out there!

HI I need some help!  I am a first generation Polish-American.  I would like to honor my culture but need some help when it comes to Polish music...  Can anyone suggest songs to play at the reception, as well as a father-daughter dance.    My parents are not aware of any of the latest current songs.  I appreciate any help I can get!!!

We're playing a few polka songs at our reception, especially for my grandparents to dance to. Our playlist has Beer Barrel Polka and Polish Wedding March Polka.

I'd suggest looking on iTunes. There are some albums with best of polka playlists.

For the father/daughter dance you could always do a traditional Cudownych Rodzicow Mam.  It's a classic and great song!

This is a newer song (not for Father/Daughter) but it's faster and has an awesome beat. I'm playing it at my reception! The title translates to (My Wife, My Heart), Don't mind the cheezy video! LOL

This may not help, but when I was talking about including some polkas, I was met with some strange looks.  According to my family, polkas are no longer even played in Poland, so why do so at my wedding.  Polkas are outdated and aren't an accurate portrayal of Polish music (I still have family there).  They said to truely incorporate some Polish songs, include some popular and/or current songs.  If you are looking for fast songs, you could pick up some DJ Markski CDs or youtube "polish songs" and dig through some until you find a sound you like.  Sorry that I am not more specific, but if you are trying to make some grandparents or parents happy, you may be more successful with non-Polka polish songs.
