Religious officiant troubles, we live together

We are stuck... my fiance and I currently live together in our home. Obviously that is frowned upon by most churches. For the sake of our parents, we would like to have a pastor or other religious officiant perform the wedding. We know people who have done this before.. Has anyone been in this situation? Can anyone recommend a church or officiant that you know is acceptant of this? Any help will be great! Thanks!!

we are not getting married in a church but we are having a minister marry us.  His name is Andy Mahaney and he is FAAABULOUS.  We live near Cherry Hill but are getting married just outside of Atlantic city.....and he is traveling there for us no problem.

His email is andy@theweddingpastor.com...he will perform the ceremony as religious or unreligious as you want it.  We are involving our Priest in the ceremony (who couldnt marry us because we werent getting married in a catholic church)....

    We live together too!!

Good luck...i am sure you will find someone!

we were nervious about that as well. We are getting married in a Catholic Church in Glassboro. We went into it with the mind set that we were going to be honest about living together and if he didn't want to marry us, then we would church hop until we found one that would.

It wasn't a problem at all. He brought it into the counceling part wanting us to talk about what is going to make marriage different that living together and he asked us to discuss the option of me staying with my parents (which we are not going to do)

He was pretty cool about it. I really think it comes down to each individual priest \ minister.

We were nervous about this also and getting married in a church was really important to us. Our pastor was understanding and we wanted to be up front with him. Not sure where you are located but it's Fountain of Life in Burlington.

Our officiant added religious elements to our ceremony so that our ceremony was spiritual and religious while the main focus was on us as a couple.  Melissa (of Weddings by Melissa) was fantastic.  She created a unique ceremony that was a true reflection of our love.  She really went above and beyond helping with everything from the ceremony to the flowers.  We highly recommend her.
