I am recently engaged (about a month) and have been looking and trying to decide on a venue and other things. My big problem, besides the fact I am unbelievably indecisive, is that I haven't been to a wedding since I was a small child. That said I hardly remember them, and I feel there are so many aspects of planning a wedding that I am unaware of. I really don't want to have to pay for a wedding coordinator, so I'm looking for any suggestions I can get. I mean I know the obvious things, I more concerned with things such as lighting and when exactly music is played during the reception? Is there music being played while we eat? Things you don't necessarily think about or even pay attention to during a wedding, but are there and you would notice if they weren't.
FYI- I am planning to have an outdoor wedding and reception at a park or golf course, with a tent for the reception.
