We are going on our honeymoon the first week of october. I heard too many times that many couples were too darn beat from the wedding planning to enjoy the honeymoon, so we postponed it a bit. We are going to Iowa, but I don't think thats what you are really looking for if you are worried about hurricanes lol.
We're going to Belgium and the Netherlands. No real fear of hurricanes there!
We're waiting until mid-October so we have some time to recover from the wedding. It's also cheaper to go to those countries in October rather than September.
Going to Cabo too, just like Britt. Our wedding is the 29th, so we will actually leave October 1st.
We wanted all inclusive and wanted it to be pretty cheap, since we want to buy a house soon. My first thought was Hawaii, but they don't do AI and it's pricey. Was narrowing down to Cabo and Puerta Vallarta. Decided on Cabo because it seemed more "chill" and I really want to see Land's End.
We will be there for 7 days, and paying a little over $3k for all of it (air fare, transfer to the resort, 6 nights, and AI). I don't know what resort we are staying in, FI put down the deposit when I was at work, and he won't tell me!! He wants it to be a surprise.
We're thinking the Carribean. I brought up hurricanes to FI and he doesn't really care. We'll probably purchase hurricane insurance, though. We'll be leaving the first week of October.
We are actually staying stateside for the honeymoon and saving up for a bigger one next year. Going to spend a few days in Dallas (sister and her hubby offered us a part of their new place to stay to save on hotel costs) and just simple enjoy the time away from my work and both the business we run. The plan is for a cruise, take a flight to either Seattle or New York City, or a cross country trip on a train next year.
We both wanted a larger honeymoon but after looking at timeframes (businesses and my job) that trip is going to have to wait until next year
Wow, we all have some great trips planned! After much debate, we are planning on going to Hawaii. We'll spend two nights in Honolulu to do some tourist-y stuff and then 7 or 8 nights in Kauai for relaxation. I can't wait!
Oh yes, that has crossed our minds. We are going to the Bahamas the last week of Sept. But, we really want to go and figured we would hope for the best. We did pruchase the insurance though! I have looked into it quite a bit and there are so many mixed reviews on whether it being hurricane season makes a difference, we all know how unpredictable the weather is, so..... we will just have to see.
we're planning on going to hawaii but we haven't booked it yet. we're pretty much set on maui, though. we wanted somewhere with beaches but obviously didn't want to worry about hurricanes.
We're going to Mexico, but we're leaving Oct 1. Honestly, I wouldn't let the threat of hurricanes deter you from going where you want to go. Just get trip insurance that covers weather-related events and you'll be fine.

<div>Aruba, because that's where we really wanted to go but couldn't afford it. And, it's outside of the hurricane belt.</div>
I am in love with Ladera bu tI think FI prefers sandals (more entertainment, less nature where ladera is open air 3 wall rooms and no phones/tvs etc he won't last too long like that unfortunately) I think we may end up in one fo the packages were you split between the 2.

We spend a lot of time in Mexico/Caribbean already, so we're holding off until February and going skiing for probably 10-14 days. We're considering Aspen or Whistler.
