Space Bag Victory!

This is a slight F/U to my FB status (and to a post I made here about this a while ago), but I invested in a few extra-large space bags today. We're leaving for Vegas in 26 days---so I needed to know if I could fit my giant dress and crinoline in their own bags, suck the air out, and plop 'em in a carry on bag. Looks like it will work

I've read the book--but that was a while ago. Does she use spacebags? My brain doesn't understand.

She's supposed to get rid of her clothes but she mooshes them all into spacebags and her closet explodes. It's quite funny.

If you keep mooshing everything down while you vaccuum, it will go flatter and less ball like (thats how it looks in the picture atleast). I have an insane amount of sheets and blankets in space bags and theyre all very flat and thin.

Why the hecks don't I remember this? (I think the previews for the movie ruined what I remembered happening in the book).

Apple--I'm definitely going to buy more of these for when we move--God are they awesome.

Nebb---There was a bunch of air that could have been sucked out still---but Rich in I were in amazement that it worked....and were kind of looking forward to what happened when we opened the bag back up.

Its not as fun to watch as sucking the air out, it just expands to its normal size quickly. Like "boop". Its incredible how much of clothing is air.

Oh, but Nebb, it was fun---I opened the bag veeeeeryyyyy slowly. It made a wheezing noise that amused me. (I'm easily entertained)
