Any know anything about Vegas?

My BM's are planning a vegas Bach party for me bc I have never been. There are 8 of us total going.  I am getting married 12/31/10 so we were thinking end of Sept early Oct to go. The problem is t hat they are quoting prices for like $750 each!  Thats crazy.  Does anyone know the best time to go to Vegas and when to book? Is it better to  book closer? I really want to go but I wont allow my girls to pay those prices. We just want to go Fri-Sunday. TIA

im leaving for vegas next week so ill tell you more when i get back!

From my experience - def book a few months in advance...the prices go way higher closer to your flight date...if you are looking to go in sept/oct - i would start looking at prices in june..just to see what they are...

originally my flight would have been $338 but then as we got closer i finally booked at $550, and now the flight im on is at $1045

Is it possible to leave or come back during the week? Prices drop significantly if you go during the week.

I just took a quick look and you can get if much cheaper than $700 per person.  I'm looking at non stop flights and hotel for $467 per person.
Oct. is a very popular month for conventions, so you don't want to wait too long to book the flights as they will go up once they start filling up.

I would book three months out to get the best deal for flights but for hotels you're better off booking ahead of that. My travel agent, there are no hidden fees with them, can search for the best price available for you and if you find anything better she'll beat the price by $100. She watches all the websites for best deals, all you have to do is leave a deposit and pay the rest like a month before the trip. Let me know if you're interested in her contact info.

I just booked 4 nights in Vegas. It's costing us $950 for both DH and I (flights and hotel). Got the deal on Orbitz... was originally $1000 for us but then used a coupon code for an extra $50 off.

I just got back from Vegas from yesterday. I dont know what the price was bc my BP took me there for my bachelorette party. I have gotten really good deals in the past for booking 4 months out. Check expedia. I think I saw some specials they were having.

Went to Vegas this past August for a bachelorette party for a friend.  We booked it rather last minute.  We stayed at the MGM grand in a nice room with two double beds.  I really liked the MGM.  They have great pools including a lazy river.  We paid $570 total (room only) for 3 nights, which we picked up on special they were offering.

I think it may be slightly cheaper to go in the summer because of the temps (it's hot out there!).  The flights to Vegas are not as cheap as they used to be.  I found a good deal for about $340 round trip (less than 2 weeks out!).  I kept stalking the airlines and they finally dropped their prices.  I bought 2 one way tickets and flew out and home on different airlines.

We had a great time and you will too!  Check the outside bar at harrahs during the day for their party and the dueling pianos at night.  Lots of fun.  We brought a shirt for her to wear and some sharpies and asked people to give her their best marriage advice (Most were really funny).  It was a ton of fun, had us talking to all sorts of people and was a great momento.
