I am helping a close friend who's getting married in November with dress shopping. The catch is, she lives in Melborne, Australia! She's been trying on dresses by Maggie Sottero and really loves a couple of them. We try to compare prices (online) and it's substantially cheaper if we purchase the dress here in the US and ship it to Aus then have it altered there.
My questions are, 1. can anyone please provide references for online vendors, or is there a place I can go to check if a vendor is actually credible?
and 2. how big/heavy is the box that the dress comes in so I can get an idea how much/long shipping will be?
