Hey everyone! Good morning!
What are you all up to today? Right now, I'm trying to figure out one or two meals for the rest of the week. My mom is coming this weekend so we'll be eating out most of the time. Anyone else feel like they are in a dinner rut like me?
Re: Tuesday morning..
I'm grumpy today, but hey I have tomorrow off so that's good. And for those of you who heard about the canceled event - I said to the coordinator that I hoped the kids didn't think I flaked out on them since I was looking forward to it, and she emailed me and said they didn't tell the kids or parents I was coming, it was going to be a surprise. So, I feel a little better knowing that.
I'll probably work from home some tomorrow, but I'm definitely sleeping in.
Today is one of my long days at work, which is so not exciting, but oh well. H has off today, and I'm jealous. With our move and everything going on lately, I would love to have one day to just do nothing and relax.

I'm going to give you a guys a gem I woke up to on facebook this morning...
:"Aghhhh why did I ever bother attempting to do my husbands algebra homework?!?!? I failed it twice in high school and the 3rd attempt I passed with a D! This shiit is whack!! How about F+U(CK) + M(A)[T+H] =

If _________ (name removed) goes to bed at 9pm on the weekday she wakes up happy, but if If _________ (name removed) goes to bed after 9pm guess how she wakes up? Wakes up = x and x = grumpy bitch because math is flipping retardedly stupid!!!!!!!"

<div>She does it a lot, I think? Or at least tries. This was last week...</div><div>
</div><div>"<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#333333;font-family:'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:18px;">Ummmm helping my hubby with his homework I just learned about the electoral college... Wtf I thought the "people's" votes decide who's president?? I'm confused because why do they say every vote counts and it does make a difference? I'm confused peeps help explain this to me? We pretty much have a communist gov if we don't have a say then right?"</span></div>
I am really tired and in a really pissy mood. I want to move and leave my job NOW but there really isnt much available around where I want to work so this is going to take a lot longer than I want it to. Everything about work is annoying me, even just commuting there and back. I just dont want to be there.

Morning. We broke out of our dinner rut last night with the help of a new (to me) cookbook (The Silver Spoon), we made lemon glazed carrots and meatballs with spinach (in them), it was really good.
Now my co-worker is arguing with me about how much traffic is on my morning commute, neat.

Just dropping by to say hi. I am going to be slammed at work today which really sucks cuz I'm exhausted to the max. I never knew I could feel so tired. I guess it must have been the best weekend of my life. Ha!
Oh, and that FB status is what's whack. Is her husband still in high school??
[QUOTE]Oh Lordy. If I were him, I'd not want her help.

My thoughts exactly.
There was nobody here when I got to school today, which is strange. There was a small twinge of hope in me that we had some random day off taht I didn't know about. The first students are starting to filter in the building now, so I guess that means school is still on. I almost wondered if it was a day off for Teacher Appreciation Day or something. Oh well!

Nope, they are my age (30). Her husband must not have FB because she rants on him all the time, calling him a shiithead and an asshole. I should delete her but it's kinda a game to see what she'll say next.
So, this is now the 5th week in a row where I have not slept past 4am. Last night was a doozy - I woke up at 2am and have been awake since. Couple that with the rainy weather and a quiet day at work and I think I might be asleep at my desk by lunchtime.
I feel like H and I are in a dinner rut too. We go to the grocery store and kind of just stare at the veggies and meat and stuff and never seem to come up with any new ideas. Although, last night we had cheese tortellini with roasted garlic alfredo sauce. I tossed in some roasted red peppers, baby spinach and the last of the rotisserie chicken we had in the fridge, and it was really, REALLY good. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch, which never happens. Maybe I need to start browsing some cookbooks for inspiration.

Hike, your friend is a moron. She's 30 and has never even heard of the electoral college?
We had a nice light rain all night, and now the foothills are covered in snow. It's so pretty with the sun just coming out.
[QUOTE] Hey Jenna!! Congrats!! sounds like you had a great wedding weekend!!

Thank you!! It only rained DURING my ceremony but not for pictures and not for the reception. But it was A-Ok because we have awesome memories and we made everyone cry with our vows. :) I couldn't have asked for a better weekend with family and friends. I loved every minute and can't believe it's over.
I have these PIP on my month board, too, but I'll give you guys a few extras too. :) These are only from FB.

H is still sick and coughing/ sneezing like a madman. Poor baby. We're headed to an outdoor concert tonight (how's this for a flavor combo - REO Speedwagon, Styx and Ted Nugent) and I'm afraid it'll make H's cold worse. We need it to clear up soon because we're going diving on our vacation. If he has a cold, then he can't dive.
I'm ready for a nap, and it's not even 8:00am. I get a feeling it's going to be a looooong day. Happy Tuesday all!
bk, I just read that. I took a class on children's lit and he was a major focus. My professor loves his work so I'm sure she's really sad today. And maybe it's lame, but as I was reading the article I kept thinking about how awesome for him to have seen his book turned into what I consider to me) a really great movie. I always loved his attitude when it came to critics and being all "whatever, I don't care if you don't like it."
