Hey all.. I in the hunt for a wedding photographer..

Looking for 8 hours, proofs, high-res CD for around $2,000...

Also looking for the photos to be a good variety with lots of candids.. not to posey posey.

Suggestions!?

Kristen Dawn is $1695 for 5 hours, so you would definitely be around the $2000 range if you add the hours on at her rate ($150/hr). Great candid shots.

I am using Chris Cook, he is a bit more than your budget, but he might customize something for you. He was really accommodating, and let us change somethings to our package. He had an album for us to view of a wedding he did at our location which really impressed me! His website is www.cookphoto.com hope that helps!

.He is a former Cape Cod Times photographer and has a photojournalistic style. I didnt want to be posing all night (except for certain family pics). He is reasonable and gives you a CD with all pics and rights to photos. He also takes a pic of you and husband walking down aisle and prints a copy for all guests at wedding.

My friend used "you ought to be in pictures". They took GREAT pics but were more of posey posey style and if you dont buy an album (just buy CD) they dont remove shine from ppl's faces.

they're albums are amazing. they host wine & cheese events where u go and get to experience who they are and what they do. they have albums to sample and u can meet with them. we just clicked with this one guy Peter Su and I can't wait to see what he comes up with. We also got a discount on 2 parents albums by just talking about our budgets. so we went over $200 but we got a parent album for each parents to keep. And I loved that we could have a simply album or a more detailed album and we'd be creating how the album turned out. You get so much freedom with them I love it. they are truly worth the price with what they offer.

Were working with Jennifer Vincente, and shes out of Plymouth Ma! She was super friendly and easy to work with. She did my friends wedding and the pictures came out great. I'm not sure if shes within your budget, but you can check it out. Shes got a lot of packages to work with. We splurged a little more on photography, because we want great pictures. Try Paul Blackmore or Vince Dewitt. They are both fantastic photographers and will work with you and your budgets. They're also both photojournalists and shoot weddings with that eye.
