Poll: Third Reading Placement

Hi all, So my mom and I are in something of a disagreement about where to put our third reading. My preference is to put it between the vows and ring exchange. Handfasting will be done before the vows, so having it between the vows and ring exchange will allow us to be bound for longer. Plus, having it after the exchange and kiss will be messy. This also gives us a little break between the two most emotional parts of the ceremony. My mom's argument is that when we're in that moment with our vows and ring exchange to have something in there will ruin it. She says it's our wedding and we can do what we want, but I'd like some outside advice... Opinions? Thanks!

    I voted between vows and exchange.  The way I see it, after the ring exchange and kiss, people generally expect you to walk back up the aisle and leave, and have prepared for this.  To discover there is another reading afterward, I think, will be mildly confusing.

    That was my thought exactly. I would be confused, too. Plus it's like, "ok, we're married, let's get to the party!" Mind you, my mom is a traditionalist and we're having a modern, non religious wedding.
