    Yes, though it was a hard search.  Most dresses were the same.  Strapless.  There is such a lack of design in dresses.  So months of looking and getting so many Bridal magazines showing mostly the same style was a giant disappointment.  So finally, I had to choose one with straps.  Yet if you are not stick thin, feel free to show off those lovely rounded arms and shoulders and full chest.  So here is mine:

    I knew what I wanted and I told the girl at the dress shop.  She  brought me three dresses, and the third one I ended up buying, even though it was two shopping trips later!  Laughing

    I went in to get a ballgown dress. That I found online. But I went in and they didn't have it in stock so I tried on an empire waist dress that was the third dress I tried on. It was more expensive than our budget but my fiance loved it and I loved it and I couldn't go try on any other dress and love it as much as my dress!

    I went in the boutique with a handful of photos torn from magazines, and thought that's what I wanted.  (I also knew what I didn't want.)  I tried on a handful of dresses and slowly fell in love with the first one I tried on.  It looked nothing like the photos I tore out!  My mom and MOH really liked the first dress, so I tried it on twice.  Once a vail was put on my head tears came to my eys.  It's like the dress was made just for me!!  So yes, I ended up with my "dream dress".

    yes, I was obsessed with photos of dresses and I sacrificed a lot of work hrs to view through them :)
    I called around for shops that had the dress I liked as a sample.  And then when I tried it on, I called around for shops for the best price.  So I got my dream dress for the best $$ :)
