Yellow Bridesmaid dress

Hey all!

One of my bridesmaids is looking for a dress in a darker yellow (like a citrine) for my wedding next fall.  All the yellow we've been able to find so far is bright and summery, any suggestions?  Thanks!

    there is a really pretty yellow called maize... can't remember the company but it was kinda buttery yellow... lover it .

    bryana- I'm from MSP :-)

    I'd try looking at David's Bridal.....otherwise go to the 3rd floor of Nordstrom at MOA and look at gowns other than the advertised 'bridesmaid' gowns.

    ok thanks for the heads up!  i will definitely have to check out nordstroms!  I find that the dresses at david's bridal are too soft of a yellow for what we're looking for!

    I'm having my BM's wear yellow dresses at all and I've not found a color I like at Davids Bridal.  So far, the best yellow has been the 'Marigold' color in the After Six bridal collection.

    Alfred Angelo has a couple of darker yellows, I think.
    This is a neglected planning bio.
    This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

    Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

    Thanks!  I think that the After Six line definitely has some good options!

    My girls are having different colors from the fall pallet and they haven't ordered anything yet, I haven't gotten my dress either.

    At this point I like the look of the tea length dress, but am thinking that we'll probably just wait and see if more people are finding floor length vs tea length before we decide.  I have a feeling like the next couple of months could be busy with dress decisions!  A little nervous, yet very EXCITED at the same time
