I am getting married in New Orleans 10/26/13 and I am looking for photographers/florists/bakery's to ck out. As many as you can recommend would really be helpful. Thanks!

Photographers: I hired Maile Lani, but also love Greer G, G. Chapin Designs and Lauren Carroll Photography.

Florists: I loved Meade Wenzel, but would not necessarily recommend her for an out of town bride. She only communicates by phone or in person. She is very old school, but does a fabulous job.

Bakery: Can't rave enough about Flour Power Confectionery. People still talk about how good the cake was. I'm planning to buy one the next time I go back to New Orleans.

Photography: Jacquline Kay Photography. She does wedding and boudoir pics. Very sweet and friendly!! Flowers: Meade Wenzel I'm an OOT bride and I went with her because she was the only florist who said she was willing to search out a certain flower I've been obsessing over. Bakery: Flour Power. My Fianc is so not a cake person and he loved their cake. They also had very good customer service during the tasting. Very hospitable and accommodating.

Photographer: Renaissance Photography, Ranada Rizzo
I love Sabree Hill but she wasn't available for my date and I love Jacqueline Kay's work and studio tran but they are both over my budget, but Ranada with Renaissance has been so sweet and great to work with so far and very budget friendly.

Florist: Christina O'Malley, can't say enough good things about her, but you have to be patient as she communicates mostly through email

Bakery: Cake designs by Meg, wonderful cakes, creative girl, budget friendly

Photographer: Images by Robert T- His name is Trent and he has been amazing so far. Our wedding is in three weeks and he has kept in contact with me since I booked him last August.

Florist: Harkins Florist- I really wanted to stick to my budget here and I gave them my idea and they created bouquets with the flowers I wanted within my price range. Peggy has been a doll to work with and generating new ideas that I never thought about.

Cake: Haydel's! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am a OOT bride and current live in Seattle, WA. Everyone that I listed has been wonderful to work with and I have not been stressed about them at all. Thankfully my inlaws live down in NOLA and have kind of guided me around on people to use. Good luck!!

Photography: I interviewed 7 photographers, and ended up going with Brenda Sison. One of my best friends is using Stacy Marks. Studio Tran is also VERY popular right now.

Flowers: I am using Fat Cat Flowers. We met with Diane at her studio, and she was great. I don't know anything really about flowers, and she was able to guide me to things that are in season and will look great over the whole day.

Bakery: Swiss Confectiary, I couldn't imagine using anything else. They have that CLASSIC wedding cake flavor and will make a cake how you want it to look. They don't do a lot of the new looks with cakes like fondant, etc. though.

I have had flour power cakes and they are amazing!!! We also heard great things about La Louisiane Bakery from our vendor, which is not affilated with the bakery. I will be calling La Louisiane Bakery this week to set up a tasting for our wedding in January of 2013 so I will keep you posted. ;-)

A friend of mine used Knightlife Photography for her wedding and the pics were beautiful!!! I think his prices are reasonable as well the site is knightlifephotos.com
