Informing guest what to wear?!

What is the correct way to let guest know on our website what the dress "code" is for the wedding?

Unless it's black tie, I don't think there is a way you can tell people how to dress.

Make it something people can understand: Black tie, black tie optional. Nothing like Casual formal. What is your dress code anyway?

You can't inform someone how to dress, but you can set the tone by your invitations.

You could post a picture of what you want women to wear, and put the word "DO" under the picture. Then you could post a picture of what you want women NOT to wear, and put the word "DON'T" under the picture and a big red diagonal line over the picture. Do the same for the men.

Or you could post a poem on your website, like this:

What to wear to our wedding, you ask?
Choosing just the right outfit is always a big task.

We don't want any jeans or shorts or halters or open-toed shoes,
Or anything that is too crotchtight or shows off your boobs.

Please don't wear white and don't chew tobacco and spit,
Please don't drink up all the free booze and puke and sh!t.

If you have other questions about dress or comportment or what gift to bring,
Call MOB or MOG - they know what's right for our wedding shin-ding.

Unless your venue has specific restrictions, there is no need to indicate attire.

Unless it's black tie or you venue has a specific dress code that they will enforce with guests, you can't dictate what grown ass people wear.
