    And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     I wondered this too, but I was more curious about why her FI is hanging out with other girls considering the situation. One girl likes photography, okay I kind of get that except that they aren't really friends. The other girl claims to suddenly be a lesbian and treats the OP like crap. Something just seems off to me.

    I'm going to start calling it Facespace.  I used to say BookFace after the Halloween episode of The Office but FaceSpace is way funnier.

    I think people often hypocritically freak out about the use of politically incorrect words here.  In no way am I suggesting that using offensive words is ever ok, but I find it hard to believe that not one person that slams people for using words like "gay" and "retarded" in passing have never once used them in conversation themselves.  I've described something as "gay" before.  I'm human.  Sometimes unpretty slang words slip.   It's not something I'm proud of, but it has happened.  Thats why I don't string someone up for doing things I'm guilty of doing myself.  I just think some of the huff and puff over them is because its the "correct" thing to do here, not because everyone actually practices what they preach in real life.  

    This is more my thoughts of this phenomenon on the boards in general, not just this particular instance.

    I do understand what you're saying, and I'm not going to claim I've never slipped, but I can honestly say that even when those words were very commonly used in my crowd I made a concerted effort not to say them.

    I'm also a fan of knowing your crowd, and Amelia clearly does not know the crowd here.  There are people that post here regularly who would never use those words in a derogatory manner, and who are offended by their use in such a manner.  Even if I'm not directly offended, I stand behind those people.
