Royal Caribbean vs. Carnival

Ok so we are currently down to two different cruises.. Royal Caribbean on Majesty of the Seas for 4 nights to the Bahamas or Carnival Glory for 7 nights to the Western Caribbean. I have been on Royal before (Mariner and Enchantment) and absolutely LOVE it. But, the cost for the 7 night Carnival cruise would only be about $300 extra for the both of us. 

I need some feedback about Carnival and preferably the Glory. And if you have been on both cruise lines before tell me which one you like best and why. TIA!

    OK... frequent cruiser.  

    Here's my disclaimer:  I am generally a RCL or Celebrity cruiser (I've got 100+ night spent on these two lines)

    Carnival I'm not a fan of.  In my experience with them the ships aren't cared for as well, the food isn't as good... but the biggest issue is the other people on board.  Because Carnival is cheaper, it attracts much more of the "spring break" type of crowd... and let's just say a lot of them are no longer spring break age...  ;-)

    But I guess it's about what you want.  If you want to get away for longer and party and have a good time, I'd say go Carnival.  If you want a little bit more quiet of an atmosphere and are willing to take the better food/ service as a trade off for the shorter honeymoon, do RCL.

    I enjoy cruising with Carnival, but have not cruised another line so I cannot offer a comparison.
