Texas-Dallas and Ft. Worth

Moving to DFW need some ideas!

My FI and I are moving in March out to Fort Worth for his job, and we are getting married in September. I am trying to do a lot of the planning in AZ and it is proving difficult. I am looking for a unique place to have the ceremony, we want an outdoor wedding. So any ideas on a cool park, or area by a lake out that way. Any ideas would be such a help to me. We are coming out in a few weeks to look for a house and I would love to look at some ceremony sites as well!

We have alot of great outdoor options.  Since I don't know your budget or guest size, I'll just list some of my favorites!

    Dallas
Filter building at White Rock lake
Winfrey Point at White Rock (this venue is 100% DIY)
Paradise Cove in Grapevine (might be closer to FW?)
Arlington Hall at Lee Park (higher budget but beautiful)
    Dallas Arboretum

Ft. Worth (I don't know as much about Ft. Worth so hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong)
    Rose Chapel
    Botanical Gardens
    Chandor Gardens (Weatherford)
White Chapel Estate (North Richland Hills)

Just FYI--early September can still be pretty hot here.

I was thinking Paradise Cove too.  Here's  a link to photos of a few weddings there.

Botanical gardens is a very pretty setting for an outdoor wedding.  They have lots of room but not sure how all the gardens will look in Sept after a Texas summer.

White Chapel has a very pretty outside area for the ceremony and then the reception can be inside.  It is very pretty both in and out and the staff is amazing!  This is where we got married!

I know that the Arboretum in Dallas is a really great option, I had my senior pictures there years ago, and I plan on having my bridals taken there, if I didn't have my heart set on getting married in the church I grew up in then I would have definitely picked there as my venue! They offer both ceremony and reception options and from friends I know who have chosen there as their site it is really great as far as pricing goes

In addition to it still being hot here, we can have the lovely remnants of any and all hurricanes or tropical storms that enter the Gulf.  And, when Stephie says it can still be hot, we mean pretty hot:  it was 112 one Labor Day.
