Photographer Check

FI and I finally decided on our photographer, we decided to go with our choice and not the one my parents wanted. We feel really great about our decision and we just have to mail the contract and our deposit!

However, how do I tell the other photographer that we met with that we don't want her?

    I think it's fine just to send her a short email, i.e. thank you for your time and consideration, but we have decided to go in a different direction.  Most vendors understand that meeting with them does not guarantee you will book with them.

    Congrats on the check! And I agree with PP. They know when it comes to weddings you will be shopping around and meeting with several people. They expect you to not always book with them. Just a short email saying you went a different direction will be great.

    Yay! I actually didn't email or call any of them back.  I guess I assumed that they would figure it out when I didn't contact them.

    I agree, a short e-mail or not asking to book that date should suffice.  Congrats on the check!

    Congrats on the check! I agree with Gabby & think that just a short e-mail will be fine for the vendor you chose not to go with. I always feel bad when I don't choose someone, but then I remind myself that I'm definitely not the first person to tell them no :)
