NW Indiana venues

Hi everyone, I'm starting to do some planning-we're still about a year out. However, I'm in NY and the wedding will be in Indiana, where I'm originally from. I'm curious if anyone has heard anything about the Hall of Justice in Crown Point. I'm looking for a smaller venue, more on the intimate side, and from websites, this is the closest I've found so far. Anyone been there? Thanks, -gsk

    i was there for a b-day party last year. place is very beautiful inside.  imo would be a very nice place for your reception!

    Thanks for letting me know. I finally got my mom talked out of the church, so this looks like it has potential for the venue, too. It used to be the court house for Lake county, right?

    The Hall of Justice is beautiful... I went to a wedding there several years ago.  I just got married at the Old Lake County Courthouse just down the street.  It was beautiful, but I think both are very DIY.  Which can be fab or stressful, depending on the kind of person you are.  Good luck!

    I am a DJ in Northwest Indiana and have done a few weddings at Hall of Justice.  I would definately recommend it.  Other smaller Venues you may also want to look at: White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, Banquets at St George in Schererville (Small Room), Patrician Banquet Center in Schererville has a smaller room and Avalon Manor in Hobart has a smaller section.  I hope this helps...
