[QUOTE]In Response to Re: re: State Shutdown : I really didn't mean for that last post to come across as attacky. Truly, non-snarkily. I apologize. I'm not a regular SB lurker - maybe once a month. Bad timing. As for Bachmann... ugh. She's... ugh. I could go on and on about what she hasn't done for her district and state. Such a demagogue.

I still think I deserve credit for this post though. You KNOW this thread had more views than anything else. I really don't think discussion is a bad thing. So I intentionally pushed some buttons? It started somewhat of a conversation right?

I've worked for the government, granted it was at the federal level, but it's the same idea. It's not about anyone party or anyone politician here. This is a disagreement on both sides.

Steph, I will give you credit for starting a discussion, and yes, Bachmann will have to be our truce point.

I also give you credit for making me furrow my brow - I spent quite a bit of time on Google looking for evidence of a Mark Dayton drunk driving incident. Could you provide a link to your source? The only links I've found are about Tom Emmer's two DUIs and some minor brouhaha about his son's underage drinking; nothing about Dayton (alcohol and depression, yes - DUI, no). The thing that has struck me as odd about this whole thread is that for you, the drunk driving part seems to be a big part of why you labeled Dayton as an a-hole, but it was something I had never heard before - and I follow politics, so it stymied me. I'd truly like to know if there if there was something I missed or if you have Dayton and Emmer confused.
My hunch is that you have the wrong guy.
