Emily, my FI's office is open for a half day on the 24th as well even though it is a federal holiday since Christmas is a Saturday and he works for the federal government! It makes me sooo mad. We don't have to stay, he is taking some days off but if he could have used that half day somewhere else it would make the difference between us being able to drive to Florida in one day and having to split the drive in half and get a hotel room.

Anyway, I will be home in one week so that makes me pretty happy!

Morning guys.

So I made an order on VistaPrint on 11/19 for some STD magnets and return address labels. I've been waiting forever for them and just went on the website again to check on it. Well I finally found where I can get a tracking number on the STDs since they were being shipped FedEx. Turns out they were delivered the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They definitely weren't on our doorstep when we came back on Sunday. Awesome.

Someone has some awesome STDs of FI and I up on their fridge now.

ETA: Nevermind, I guess that won't help much because even if there was a mistake, VistaPrint would have to re-do the order.

Birdie that sucks. I always wonder who steals packages, especially stuff like STD magnets that have no intrinsic value.

UPS refuses to leave stuff at our house (we are close to some sketchy areas) and it drives me crazy. When my wedding dress was delivered I had to drive out to the middle of nowhere Maryland that night to go get it. I was so annoyed at the time but now I am just glad it wasn't taken from my doorstep!

It's really not a huge deal since I got the STDs and address labels for free. I'm just out the $10 for the shipping. I still don't know where the return address labels are.

I've done all online shopping this year and our post guy has been really good about leaving the packages around back. However, this was my second VP shipment and the first was left on our front door. Who knows :-/

I was also gonna say Birdie, call VistaPrint customer service. They're super helpful and replaced envelopes I ordered when I left a number off my zip code. All I had to pay was new S&H charges.

When my cousin lived in Texas, she really missed the Minnesota snow. My grandpa made a bunch of snow balls and kept them in his freezer so when she came home in the summer he had a snow ball fight with her. So cute.

Emily, I just read your post about your trip to Sao Paolo and I wanted to let you know traveling alone can be great! I have done Europe by myself twice and enjoyed time alone much more than weekends when I was trying to coordinate with other people. I like traveling alone so much I am kind of nervous about my honeymoon. I'm just not sure I will be able to let go and include someone else in the planning. And staying in a hostel is a great idea, it is much less lonely.

Thanks, Anna. I actually went the last weekend in October, I'm just getting around to recapping it now.

I know it's one of those things that some people really enjoy, but I still prefer traveling with other people. I had a great time, and I would travel alone again, but I don't love it like some of my friends do.

I'm sure you'll like your HM just fine
