Gift Registry websites

Has anyone used myregistry or gift registry 360? Seems like a good idea for us because we want a few things from different places but I havent heard a lot of chatter about these sites. Thanks for any info!

Re: Gift Registry websites

  • I originally started with the gift registry 360 but it's become obsolete. I think the idea was a bit too new for our wedding guests (mostly an older crowd).
  • We used Amazon (they have a universal registry option), and it worked well for us.

I am also registered with Amazon- but what do you mean universal? Can I somehow link things from other sites not associated with them?

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Yup.  You add something to your browser that allows you to add products from other websites to your Amazon registry in the universal registry section.  Guests can mark that they bought the item on your Amazon registry (either bought or bought from somewhere else, which is nice).

Note that if guests go to the external website from Amazon to purchase something, it won't fill in your shipping address, so you might want to have your address easily-findable for guests (we might have put it on the registry page of our website, or people just emailed us to ask, cannot remember).
