Where are you buying Kaleeray??

Hi ladies

So ...where are you buying your Kaleeray from?  (Here ...well North America or India)

I'm in Toronto ...so if there are other knotties here let me know where to get them!

Are you going for the short or long ones....?
Are you mixing in different colours, or sticking to the gold coloured ones.
How do you/your mama-jis put them on ...tie them to a churiyan or directly on to your wrists?

What happens to them afterwards (after the wedding?)

    Hi BhanuandAnuj
I say if you can get them from India, the ones my sis got for me from India are beautiful..they are all crystal, modern and elegant looking..I could not find anything like that in USA, but Canada am sure has more options...because of lots of punjabis residing there..since its a punjabi tradition I believe.

I know there are a lot of options in Toronto f'sure.
But b/c it's a mama ji tradition (along with the chura...which I'm wearing for the ceremony) I think I might get them from my mamas...I'll just tell them what I like lol.

Ya I'm getting married on the Sunday :) It's actually a long weekend for us Canadians so that's why we opted for the Sunday!

I'm getting excited...!  Just getting down to all the little stuff now... cake, jewelry, my little DIY projects  etc...the fun stuff hehe

I already bought mine.  I got them on ebay from the seller india.trend.  She didn't have them listed, but since I purchased some other things from her, I asked her if she could find some for me.  I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she found them!  It was a great deal too.  I think this tradition is really so wonderful.  We're not Punjabi, but we're adopting this custom. :)

I love that we can borrow aspects of weddings from each other!

I'm having a heard time 'googling' pictures of kaleeray...any suggestions?

Try searching for kaleera.  there are a few spellings.  I found more when I used this spelling. :)
